Does anyone know what are the biggest injectors a stock 3TM ecu can run properly and efficently without a nistune just the stock tune?

Would be on a stock turbo setup on a na rb30e with a gktech fmic.

Probably a really stupid question, but I need to use a timing light, however my battery has been moved to the boot... What do I do there? Can I just use another 12V battery or what? Cheers

Is there a way to tell the difference between a vlt 3 core radiator and a na 2 core radiator?

Just seen this calais has a 1 piece letterbox grill/ nosecone panel. I have never seen one of these before. Would this be something that has been custom made? Would love to get one if they are around...

They were originally fitted to a number of HDT VL's, including the VL Director.

Although the Director didn't have top bumper moulds so the grille came out further.
When fitted on the Group 3 they don't stick out as far as the Director.

Stupid question here... Whats involve in putting aftermarket seats in vls? Have been looking into evo4 recaros, i miss my evo4 :-(, or these nzkw Recline seats that look similar but brand new for a similar price to 'good condition' used evo recaros.

I used the factory brackets and modified them to suit only bad thing is they sit a bit high.

You might have a metal anti theft panel when looking from inside door. This will have to come off by taking I think one screw out. You will then have to take off your outside window door weather strip. The anti theft panel will then need to be pushed up giving access to your door lock.

are Calais disc brake diffs much wider than drum brake diffs coz my wheels never used to rub but they do now.

Calais diff should be the same width as the drum diff as I'm fairly certain all VL's have the same offset wheels.

Best bet, is that you've probably fitted a VN diff (20mm wider each side) as opposed to a VL Calais Diff.....

So we have got this POS berlina vl at workshop all panel and painted. It has original central locking and i have had the locking mechanism out so many times cant figure out why the door will lock and unlock from inside but will only unlock from outside, it wont lock with the key.
Has no engine battery or fuses and only thing i can put it down to is that power has to be hooked up for car to lock with the key. Passenger door is the same will unlock but wont lock. Doing my head in!!!!!

the vls are a bit of an odd setup for the central locking from memory they have switches in between rods if that makes any sense. i could be wrong but they need the battery hooked up to work properly as when you use the key to lock it the rod pushes the switch contacts which then tells the door motor to lock but yeah could be wrong its been a while since i had a door panel off the car

Hey all just wondering if its possible to get this replaced.

Also there is one like this at the rear of the engine, same side, that is in worse condition than this. But camera screwed that photo up so only have this one to show.

It's worth trying your local Nissan dealer as you'd be surprised what they have/can still source.

I got new radiator hose outlets (top and bottom) which they had at their warehouse, and also got some genuine Nissan leads (which came from Japan) afew months back.

That small outlet pointing up isn't the Turbo feed is it? That's further back I think.....So that rusty fitting should be the same on R31 Skylines.
