stop using ****e pads and fluid!! it will work fine with the right parts... slightly bigger brakes and std ****ty pads will fade too, it will just take more effort to do so.

I use Ferodo pads on factory V8 brakes and they work very well. The pads were pretty expensive from memory, but it's worth doing

Recommendations on fluid and pad brands?

I've upgraded to VY twin potters and slotted disks. When my car eventually gets going I'm gonna need some new pads (just got old second hand ones in there at the mo!).

It is an RB30ET? (not factory of course)
And he's done that thing with the nosecone, there was a thread on here somewhere about it a while ago (someone photo shopped a yellow/silver berlina to kind of look like a silvia) and there was a lot of reasons not to do it, lol.

ELF HTX115 fluid and ferodo DS2500 pads ot EBC ceramic red stuff pads.
make sure your rotors are machined before you fit the new pads and that they arent getting near the minimum thickness...

I've still got the 'rust breeder' I bought from you months ago, yet to use it! And speaking of that, did you end up replacing your rear windscreen surround too?

Are we talking pod filters or panel filters? You notice a different sound with a pod filter, but I reckon you'd need to be flowing alot of air for the filter to make a difference performance wise. My wagon needed a new filter when I bought it so I got a Simota panel filter from BNT, cost me $35 I think with discount

No havn't done it yet I've got to get a spare tailgate so I can mod it the way I want. I'm tossing up the idea of taking SIKVLT off the road for a year and do alot to the body but it's hard cuz I really like driving it

What about Bendix Ultimate pads? I believe they use them on the police highway patrol cars...

Someone who owned mine before me was kind enough to cut a tidy hole in the bottom of the airbox with some good pipe leading to behind the front bumper (it's behind some of the grill kind of bits, but you can't see it) I always wanted it done, but I wouldnt do it myself, so I was happy when I saw it in there

To add some relevance to the thread, don't buy a Simota air filter off trade me, I'm pretty sure they're cheaper without discount at BNT ($50ish, but they all want $54+shipping on trademe..)
