if you can get the bonnet open and the central locks work, if your clever you can open the door from the fuse box

Ok do you have a test light? you need to pull out the unlock relay & earth one of the terminals you can do this with the test light earthed on to the body somewhere so you wont run the risk of shorting out anything. When you earth the right terminal you will hear the car unlock

Unfortunately, someone elses key almost always works
I've only ever broken into an old OLD Nissan Sunny, can't remember why we had to but it was a mates car (he was there with me) and we got time out of automotive at school to go get it open, no one questioned what we were doing which was a bit worrying! His locks were those common cheap on top of the door type, so was probably a bit easier, but we just did the coat hanger through the door gap thing. You could give that a go?

Oh I think Chemical means use a fork in the door lock, might work.

Perhaps you use your knob & forks to fix your car but I like to use ther proper tools & yes Im fully aware its only 12 volts & wont kill you but why risk shorting things out? I am only trying to help the guy out there is no need to be a ****.

Use a metal coat hanger or wire of roughly the same thickness and try one of the front doors..takes about 30secs!

Its not like whats been said is not already common knowledge, at the end of the day if a theif needs instructions on how to break into a vl it might be time for a different profession.

Sorry for the thread dig
I have done the same thing and locked my keys in my car and i have shaved door locks
but my bonnet is still open as i was working on it,
there are two central locking relays the last two closest to the guard passengers side guard closest to the windscreen
i know which ones are positive and negative
what do i do next? do i earth the positive to the body?
Do i remove the relays completely? and bridge a positive to negative?
and on which relay or both?
or do i bridge a positive to negative from one relay to the other?
please help been locked out for three days!
