Awesome looking car and tastefully modified

I haven't seen an SL Group A before, how do they differ from the Group A and Group 3?

Thanks for the comments guys. Much appreciated.

NZ EVLHSV - In a nut shell, HDT produced about 150 of these cars to showcase to Holden what the SS Group A would look and go like. They came in 4 colours (Alpine White, Red, Asteroid Silver and Walton's Blue) and were based on the SL commodore, so not as optioned as the Group 3 and Director.

Mine was optioned up from HDT with 16inch Aeros and had the Group A motor and exhaust fitted. However, unfortunately, didn't have the scheel interior. Which was very hard to come by!!!

Here's some pics of it in the sun. Don't mind the scoop as its not fitted yet, we're having some issues with clearence cause of the height of the manifold. BUT should be able to sort something out, most likely grind the lip of the base plate off and also shave a half inch off the manifold.

Bumper isn't on either, waiting for the pipes to go on so we can sort out plasic welding a cut out to the other side.

A couple of all the goodies that have come in from Summit Racing in the states.

Some of the motor in the bay....looking at pulling to motor again to weld up a few more holes in the bay

Again thanks for the comments guys, really appreciate them.

Dumps havn't been fitted yet...have to sort out the bar 1st and then we'll weld em up....

Hey Guys,

Long time no post on here for me!

Yeh decided to sell the FRs and the Wilwood Brake kit. (Threads: http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=235285 and http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=235286). Reason for doing this is I want to repaint the Aeros white and throw them back on and have her looking exactly how she looked when she left HDT, with the addition of the Group 3 scoop. The money that will come from the sale of the wheels and brakes will pretty much finish her off.

SO, if anyone is interested please feel free to PM me. Non of the parts have been used, as you can obviously see, the car has been sitting in the garage for a solid 4yrs now!

To be honest absolutely nothing has been done to the car over the last several months. Main reason being my wife and I are expecting our 1st kid, a baby boy! So all expenses have gone to pirvate hospital bills and obstetricians etc! So again my beloved Brock has had to take the back seat to something that's infintely more important! Exciting times ahead!

So thats the latest! Hopefully have some more meaningful updates as time and money permits!

Thanks for the comments guys! Very exciting times coming up and the mrs and I couldn't be more happier!

Tend to agree with you all when it comes to the Aeros. I've been mulling it over in my mind for a long time and I just couldn't go past the standard look.

So this is what is going to happen:

This is how she looked when I first bought her all those years ago! I stripped them and polished them, however, I'm now keen to get the Aeros back in their Alpine White goodness! What do you guys reckon? I'm getting very mixed reactions at the moment!!

Sin, don't really have that many interior shots as, well, it's still empty in there! Here's a pic of the scheels trial fitted, still need the rear head rests put in!

Unfortunately got stuffed around by an absolute d*ckhead in WA when it came to the original Cerillian Sawtooth trim. To cut a long story short what he sent over, even when stretched, nearly covered the seats! He did this to many members of the HDT community! But lets not go there! Seats came up awesome in Group A trim and suit the car nicely!
