Then you have to pay the bullsh!t prices on spare parts etc.

spare parts for JAP bikes is crap to but no were near as bad as KTM etc.

I buy all my parts off shops in usa. Witch is less then half price they charge at the bike shops. Ebay is very good buy heaps off their for my bike ! it depends on the person if they have the extra money to spend on a ktm and want to race serious or just have some fun. it worth the couple extra grand for better quality. And what do you mean about spare parts if you ride a four stroke its ten more expensive. A lot more to keep it running compared to a two stroke

care to tell me why?
i havnt had a problem with mine at all.
my brothers 2009 kx450f has done 2 race sessions +ALOT of bush and doesnt need anything and never has.
a mates 2008 kx450f, been flogged since new, never needed anything..

in saying never needed anything i mean, valves have never needed doing (no shimming, nothing) in any of them, no rebuilds, done alot of hours. just service and ride them! now tell me why those 4 strokes are more expensive to keep running?

im not playing your little 2 stroke vs 4 stroke game, i was just stating that genuine parts are over priced then KTM's even worse. regardless if its 2 or 4 stroke.

Because for people that can't do that stuff themselves have to take it to a shop to have those things checked regularly and that is maintenance and costs money..where as with a 2 stroke there is fu*k all maintenance apart from changing a plug maybe lol

Haha their is no 2 vs 4 stroke war going on here. Yes they are expensive that why you buy off eBay. It is a lot cheaper mite not be genuine but personally that is everyone to their own. All the four stroke that my mates have always **** up so i don't know about yours but all the ones that i know do ! **** knows and who cares really
