Jako's "94 EF Falcon GLi'

My Ford Falcon EF GLi

Hey guys you may know know my VL Calais "JAK-094" This is my Daily driver.

I bought this vehicle off my girlfriends Grandparents in Sept 2012. The car is very stock , as well its in an 'OK' condition. It has Genuine 180,000klms which is good for the age of the car. I bought the car as my daily driver, to drive to work etc. Picked her up with 12 months registration for a very good price ( being basically family ) I respect cars, have always had a huge passion and I'm not going to ruin it.

My Plans
- Window Tint ( done )
- !7s ( done )
- Good clean up and polish ( done )
- Sound system ( Done )
- Good service ( Done )
- Gearbox serviced ( Done )
- New rear bar, and respray front bar. ( Done )
- AC regas

There are 2 dints on the whole car which are on this side. One on the passenger door, and on the the rear passenger door. Other than that, the rest is good.

As you can see the sun damage on the rear bar. Will get another one soon because as well as that, old mate reversed into a tow bar haha.

Since having the Falcon i gave her a good inside and out clean, as well as the polish i shown you before. Here's a few shots of it after i cleaned it today.

Im going to Buy my mates 17"s, because they have new tyres and the ones on the Falcon are really old, which is quiet dangerous. So will get those after HSC. Then i put some super lows under it and get the front and rear bars resprayed.

Ill give it a good service in the next few weeks, will do the G-box and diff while im at it, coolant flush and might get a new thermostat. As well as an EL intake system and i good clean up under the hood.

In need of the Ash tray/cigarette lighter cover.

Stock as a Rock

EF got some window tint, pretty dark. Gave her a good clean, come up great for a daily.

Future mods:
17s from a mate
Will put some super lows under it
Respray front and get a new rear bar.
Give her another light polish.

Actually good klms for a 94 model taxi averaged 10,000klm per year.

Hey guys, gave her a cut and polish as well as a wax. Hunting for a new rear bar, and the earlier model ash tray.

As well i bought my mates 17" wheels and gave her a service. Will do the Gearbox, coolant and Diff in the next few weeks. And fitted some red throw over seat covers to protect the seats.
Will get some super lows for it in the next few months. New rear bar, respray the front one, and that's it.
Other than that, washing it regularly and slowly becoming a much cleaner car.
Pics.

---------- Post added 01-11-12 at 22:05 ----------

Was a bucket when i bought it. Some good TLC is all it needed.
Least it was kept in a Carport.

What it used to look like.
Then ( September )

Now.

Clean - like a sir.

Hey guys, got a sound system for the Falcon.

Few pics.

Work to be done -
Service Gearbox and Differential.
Respray front and rear bumpers.
Get a early model ash tray.
Get a new exhaust tip.

Hey guys. bit of an update, Moved up to the coast and went to the wreckers and found some things for the Falcon. New Boot lid, Rear bumper and a few other little things. Found some steel wheels and resprayed them gloss black. Here's some pics so far. Front bar is off (painting it) and the new rear bumper is nearly on. Boot lid is on but just have to finish everything off and give her another polish. Got a new exhaust rubber, and may need a new rear half because its a bit rusty.

Old rear bar, and boot. Will paint the front bar this week.

Since moving the qld, have to get a rwc soon so will pass easily. Need to get the AC leak fixed ( has die in it )

UPDATE

Took the Falcon to the local mechanic for a good check over. Ended up spending $2,000 bucks Anyways worth it as ill keep it for a while.
All new
- Rotors and Pads
- Both Rack boots
- Water pump, thermostat and gasket
- Starter Motor
- LH Tie rod end
- Fuel Filter
Also took it to a Transmission specialist as it wasn't going into overdrive, and not selecting gears on the shifter. Ended up being the Inhibitor Switch. $200 and now works perfect. Might end up going there for a gbox service in the next few months. It started to miss, and idle really rough at the lights so i changed the fuel filter, added a bottle of Injector cleaner/boost and its smooth again. Other than that. Plan to get a full detail on it and take care of it. Also gave her a service. @194,000klms-June2013. Doing it every 7k.
Also bought a 2nd EF for parts. - ill post a pic soon. Nothing exciting.
Here pics of the Good EF. All Clean. Regularly gets washed etc.

List to do

Sell 17s.
Put 15s on from 2nd Falcon + EL Hub Caps
Get the interior Shampooed ( Detail )
Slightly lower all round.
Sun-visor
AC Regas.

Thanks guys. Add anything if you like.

Not a lot, couple of grand if you're lucky
Older falcons depreciate pretty seriously, my dads AU wagon cost him 8800 when it was 4 years old lol

Well got a few things off the donor Falcon, it went to scrap the other week. Swapped the Chasers over, needs new tyres but. Gave her a clean/vacuum/checked fluids. Running sweet now.
Here's a few photos - Instagram Style.

May consider lowering her a little.. What you recon ??
