Better headlights VL?

Hey,

As you all probably most know, the headlight range and quality on standard VL is not the brightest and best like you see with new cars these days.

I bought some new H4 globes and new cases but this only improves the quality and brightness a little.

Anyone got any ideas of putting a whole new lighting system in or even better globes to make it light up like the new cars of these days?

Whatever you do, don't waste your time with HID's, just get some damn bright halogens

Just get brighter halogens like Ash said but wire them via a relay with a new thicker hot wire or else you will have dramas.

And get whiter lights somewhere around 5000K to make them look a bit more modern.

Re-wire it with larger wiring using the factory wiring to trigger new relays. You will be surprised at the voltage drop you get from the battery to the headlights. I recently put the multimeter on my daily and found a 2v drop which accounts probably a 30%-40% drop in potential brightness. It will also allow you to run higher wattage globes

I was going to put a HID kit a couple years back, but was advised not to here.

I ended up getting a geniune headlight with new globes and works a treat, the dodgy aftermarket Tawain stuff is shocking, the adjuster was loose and breaks easy

Fyi, You can fit the aftermarket inner reflectors into genuine housings with the genuine adjusters if you cant find a decent set of GM headlights

try the 90/100 6000k bulbs with the after market reflectors and genuine glass. That's what i'm using and they're not bad at all. Reasonably cheap too.
