my personal opinion is that $38-40k is a realistic asking price for a original clean example bt1 that has matching numbers un modified!

I'd pay 30k for a proven 9sec bt1 in mint condition, stock I wouldn't want personally but that's just personal preference
Calais turbo 20k for 9 sec in mint condition

Moto of the story, I'll just wait patiently till interest rates rise and unemployment rate creeps up.

Vls are now subject to economic conditions in my opinion, they are no longer owned by the 16-25year old versions of ourselves, now owned by the older versions with families, mortgages and responsibilities. We've just experienced a massive mining boom, one of the largest house price booms in history(certainly the biggest in my time and 95% of us his) and a stock market that has risen approx 85% since March 2009

If you go back a few years before the housing boom, mining boom and stock market boom, you'll find we were buying vls for modest $$ few years on everything is going gangbusters and vls are following the above.

Once conditions turn,my pull be picking up cheaper vls, only thing that may keep prices higher is the fact that there are fewer around nowadays hence supply/demand however if your struggling to keep a roof over you and your families heads the demand for a Vl might not be high on the to buy list

My opinion only, not sad about Vl prices as I've got afew of em**

I'd have to agree with Katsa on current market for vl's.
I don't need to sell my white bt1 and I'd say it's only worth
$14-$17k depending on buyer but like I said I'm in no need
To sell and I've seen a lot of the nuggets for sale out there.
In order for me to let it go I'd also be asking overs but advertised
Prices aren't always even close to the sold price. The only people
Buying cheap vl's are the ones finding them in sheds from original
Owners
My 2cents

60k for a thrashed out executive ex cop car, I love it. I wonder what my limited edition SV SS GroupA Walkinshaw is worth? I know what I paid for it and what it owes me up to date but if I asked a stupid amount for it I wonder if anyone would pay it. Hahaha.

Totally agree.

On another note, with this much action on calaisturbo (we may go down due to the servers not used to it).

And the whinging about using bandwidth
AND waiting for dial up to load a page lol.

Also this is why forums are better than Facebook, information is there once, not the same question asked a million times - sometimes returned with different answers.

Agree 100%, much easier to find things, learn, ask etc
Far better structure but for some reason people just wanna use Facebook for vlt stuff.
Sounds stupid too but I find that dealing with people off this forum has always been a better experience then blokes off Facebook
