RB30E Revving abnormally high

Hey guys,

Took my car for a spin last night and when I returned home and put the car in park noticed it was revving high about 1500rpms. Went around the block and it went higher to about 2500rpms. This morning when I started its still revving out too 2500rpms. Can anybody shed some light?.

Thanks in advance.

Could be a vacuum leak somewhere
Check over the inlet manifold and look for any hoses that have popped off, you'll also hear a sucking noise if that is the case

Thanks BigM22

Had a look over inlet manifold all hoses are connected and no sucking suck from engine bay. Checked the thottle body it isnt jammed and is moving freely. Is there anything that could make it rev out like that? Idle control valve/ aac valve maybe?

let us know how you go mate.
I'm having an issue at the moment with mine idling around 1200-1500 in park and can't seem to bring it back down with a TPS adjustment.

Cheers,
