(_OO________ <- as in my crappy drawing here..

You will also need to cut off the overhang through the middle of the first hole, otherwise it will interfere with the bracket under the dash.

BTW: The stopping power is awesome, I can stop soooo much better without locking up. one of the best things i ever done to my car.
haha mad pic bro thanks for that made things alot easier yeah i could imagine how good it will be i owned a vt before the vl the only thing i liked about it compared to the vl is the brakes even in the big titanic vt's they pull up real good

I champ im looking in to do this mod myself but im wondering what mods u have done to the bracket for tha booster i understand what u have done with the rod for the pedal but have u welded the vl bracket onto tha vt booster or just modifed the vt one.

thanks heaps

dude its a pain in the ass the first time ive done it heaps now got easier undo the two screws for the steering colum just behind were the indicator part is the colum should drop so u can get to it much easier then get upside down lol get a socket and a socket extension part its about a 12mm screw just exactly above were the steering colum goes through the firewall

Meh, use 1/4 drive with a few long extensions, you will get it straight on.

I borrowed some tools off a mechanic mate .......... VT master/booster is all in now. I'll bleed the brakes tomorrow. I'll let ya know how it is.

My tiling tools apparently werent the greatest selection of tools meant for doing this work, lol

and im sick of adjusting the handbrake cable

atm the brakes only start working once youve pushed the pedal about half way down, the brakes work fine though

Whats the difference between the vt and vs master cylinder? I got a vt one from the wreckers but i think hes given me a vs. Would it make much difference to performance?

vt is a 1 and 1/4" fast fill design, which relates to the peformance aspect of it.

vs is no good for the application.

Anyone know how to tell the difference between a vs and vt master cylinder. Mine looks identical to the one in the first post.

AFAIK Wizbicki the VS one should have a size stamped on it, but I am going from memory.

if you are worried about possible leaks fom lines with not using the adaptors find someone who installs heat pumps for a living they have a tool that reflares and seats lines correctly if you ask nicely they may do it for you for nothing absolutly no chance of leaks takes about 5 minutes of there time hop this helps

Yeah that was the biggest disappointment when I put rebuild kits through all 4 of my calipers & put a brand new master on & still bled up a low pedal!!!!!. Ive got the conversion bits sitting at home waiting for the winter to end.

Well yes, it can, but the VS booster is much better. Its newer, better quality, lighter, and I believe offers more vacuum assistance.

Poor man pays twice.

well i got my hands on to a master cyclinder today and the VL booster wont fit due to the bolts being offline and the cyclinder barrel being to long so off to find a vs plastic job.

I got a plastic booster and VT master cylinder last week but I have a couple of issues with the booster. Firstly it only has 2 mounting bolts to mount to the bracket inside the bay (in the middle of the 2 either side) and the mounting hole on the VS resevoir doesnt line up on the VT master cylinder either, anyone else come accross any of this???
