Thats mad! I have a steering wheel in perfect cond, i knew they were pricey but thta's the biggest I've heard yet... Thats mental about the radio though!

The Walky wheel is the same wheel in black and that used to be the common price for them on ebay with the odd one going for over $2k.
As for the stereo mine came with the car and i have since reinstalled it.
The price doesn't suprise me all that much as i have been following the prices of many of the Brock specific stereo parts for years. Is amazing what someone will pay for a standard Holden stereo (berlina or calais) to put into their Group A.
In the early HSV's it was only this radio used in the SV88 and F20's and the Sansui models used accross some of the next two models that really differ from the standard Holden radios and for that reason they will always pull big dollars from those people looking to restore their car to original as a lot of previous owners had modified their cars by changing stereos and rims etc.

that looks like the shifter from a VN Group A 6 speed in there too. Fair bit of work in the car, but shame it's really unoriginal.

i saw that one, gonna head done there tomorrow and see what it goes for, maybe throw in a couple of bids depending on price.
Listed as WOVR so theoretically it can just be re-registered.

no compliance plates...ouch

if it's on the register even as a repairable it's effectively a stat write off in NSW

looks like a parts only car

But they look like they are still on the car. My mate is looking at it today, to check that its worth purchasing as a restore or maybe a pretty decent mock.

yeh they do look like they are there but maybe it's the HSV one that's missing or maybe they've been removed now as it's written off?

lots of nice parts though, shame

just make sure it's not a stat write off unless you get it cheap as

Sv88 build#

Hi Boys.
Newbie to the site - I have an SV88 and want to add it to the roll call.
Silly Q= where do I locate the build #. It has HSV plates on the firewall.

The HSV plate will have the build number on the top line. It is in the format of 5 digits with your cars build number being the first 3 digits with a letter and number following it.

Great info. I will Check it out and get back.
I have owned this car since '95 and as the story goes..... Got married and put it up on blocks. It has been garaged at my oldies for last 6 years. But that was better than selling my pride 'n joy.
Cheers corsa. I will look into the build#

Looks like I am in possession of one on your list......
Build# 111 reportedly last seen early 90's.
I have QLD plates which I bought for her in late 90's "OSV88"
I bought it @'95 and drove it until '04.
My passion has been reignited. I have just spent Easter cleaning out my garage to get it out of my old's and back home. Time to get it registered again.

---------- Post added 26-04-11 at 20:19 ----------

Just to verify....
You say numbers followed by letters
Mine has 5 numbers then a letter followed by number.
88111g?
Does this mean build #111 as i recently posted??

The SV88 was special in that they added 88 to the front of it, so yes it is build number 111.
