2 stroke motocross bikes

Hey i thought i would start a thread for 2 stroke riders. Personally i think 2 stroke motocross bikes are way better the 4 strokes. I have raced motocross most of my life and i have also rode plenty of 4 stroke 250fs & 450s. And nothing compares to to power that my bike has i thought i would start this thread for anything to do with 2 strokes. Like racing comparison to other bikes etc

European bikes are awsome ktm tm gas gas. I used to be sponserd by gas gas dealer down in Hobart. It was a really awsome bike to ride actaully it would have been the best bike i have rode full stop. I have rode heaps of diffrent 2 strokes they come standard with mazzochi front forks ohlins back shock big front brakes not sure how big they were.
It was a really nice bike it had power in bottom and top range with the jap bikes like rms and kx their down low power. Yz and Crs top end power euro bikes power top and bottom. My bike at the moment is really nice to ride.

Rode my mates crf450 which had a fair bit of punch but was too predictable. Used to love my cr250r, so much more fun and unpredictable but heaps more scary lol.

2 stroke > 4 stroke

4 strokes will never have the fun factor of a 2 strokes powercurve. 2 strokes also sound better and smell awesome.

Even ricky carmichael prefers 2 strokes over 4 strokes

I had never ridden a 4 stroke, until just recently rode a ktm450 & a crf450 in the one weekend, I had put about 100 hours on the yz250 previously loving it, the 4 strokes had that throw me off the seat up high in the gears on 2nd & 3rd but otherwise they are alot less involved, I like the high end power of the 4 stroke and they seem a bit better at higher speeds with the extra weight.

I put a 52 tooth sproket on the rear of the yz250 its an animal to keep on the ground now as I ride a heap of woods stuff it tractors so much better down low, sacrificed a bit of top end but I never used it anyway.

Was cool to go for a blat on both 4 strokes but overall I would blip the throttle going into muddy corners and not be able to control the thing as it was so doughy to get roosting.

Prefer the instant snap of the 2 stroke no worries. Four stroke if you are retired.

It comes down to every ones own opinion. Like I said at the start I race motocross four 5 years I love two strokes that all I have raced. I have ride. Four strokes a few times and I think they are **** compared to my bike when it comes down to it it's not the bike it is the rider. And what he likes

only decent 4 strokes ive ridden was a mates injected kx450f and another mates KTM450 (not sure exactly what model but it was pretty awesome for a 4 banger), i was impressed by both of them but ive riden & owned numerous 4 strokes including crf450's yzf450's etc and they didnt interest me at all.

2 stroke ftw

best bikes ive owned were both 2 strokes, ktm 300 & husqvarna wr250, both had more balls than most of the 450s ive ridden.
