help with head unit hitting heater duct

Hey guys , i know this would have been asked before but i cant find a solution to this issue on here , and ive looked so please dont comment if you are not going to help

Ive brought a brand new alpine head unit for my vl calais but its too long for the brack to click into head unit , i brought some right angled RCA adaptors which helped a bit but still around 1 cm from it clicking into place and holding on correctly , has anyone came up with a good solution to this issue ??

Just heat up the rear duct with a heat gun(on low)a bit at a time and slowly push the unit in when the duct is still warm. How far short are you from getting it in??

Cheers Marty
