Hate it too.

However if your in the market for a similar style of car, what would you buy?
Mazda 3, Lancer, Camry ...... or this?

Thing is, current Insignia is a decent car. So I imagine this should be too.
I would buy a Mazda 6 over it though.

Front wheel drive.
4 cylinder turbo petrol or diesel, no V8.

Personally it reminds me of the other worst car Holden made. The Camira.

I have heard that the SS variation will be twin turbo 3.8 V6 but that is only speculative, could just be gossip. If it is true its probably another variation on the alloytech engine, which was another variation of the 3.6 ecotech, which was a variation of the buick 3.6.
RB30 the only engine worth a pinch

Yeah, and GM have denied it being the Camaro, so that only really leaves the Corvette.

If Holden could sell the Corvette for under 100k.... we would have a winner.

Just like everything these days, overpriced old cars, houses etc.

Supply and demand, people will pay the stupid amount of money.

Agree with others Holden has lost the plot, rather buy a Toyota over that.

Couldn't agree more, don't want to derail this thread and go too far off topic but with afew rate rises (say a rise of 2-4%) what effect do you think it will have on house prices and car prices, surely people will liquidate cars etc to keep their houses?

This is exactly what will happen.... just about every second car on the road is a 50k+ car.... not many have that coin to throw into a car so they put it already on their bursting mortgages.... mark my words..it can't be an 'up' for ever..... the economy will turn for the worst eventually...& those with not much credit & plenty of folding stuff WILL reap the rewards. Its only a matter of time.
