*BACK IN THE DAY* Articles on the VL from the late 80s

I was strolling through a car boot sale last weekend and couldn't help myself when i stumbled across some old wheels and street machine magazines and the like sitting there on this fellas table. I was like how much for the magazines.

Fifty cents each mate.

Beauty!!!
Mind you there was probably about 200 magazines some of which were full sets from Jan-Dec and in date orders etc.
i started flipping through the pages and found a few great articles on the VL's About half hour later id spend $7 whole bucks on magazines, I must of flipped thru about 100 of them quickly and picked out all the VL related magga's

Though id share some of the articles and pics with you guys. Some interesting articles and pics.

Just spent half hour trying to resize and am unable. NFI whats up with the POS. so bad luck if there to big
Please add any old pics of articles.

Thanks for uploading these, very cool, but if you think something is too big, just use an URL tag instead of an IMG next time!

The pics are too big, good to see the photo of the prototype VL digital dash, it seems some 86 VLs got the VK calais radio.

Thanks for that. Always great to see those.
Any chance you can post up the rest of the police article in pic 008, or can you let me know what the mag and date was ?
Thanks

Great find on the NZ stuff. Thanks.
I never realise that both the Royale and GTS had the Formula pack front spoiler. Any other scans from those brochures ?

The stunt team cars usually got resprayed white and sold off. I know a guy who owns a VH that has been put back to it's original colour scheme. Where i used to live i always saw a VN that still had the colour scheme minus the sponsors decals etc. and looked at buying a VR (when they swapped to VT's) that was still wearing it's colour scheme although it was rather badly stone chipped accross the front end with a few scrapes here and there down the sides and rear as well. Dealer said if it didn't sell soon it would be also resprayed white and sold off.

lol, was thinking about this earlier today, back when you used to go to the show to see the 'stunt team' drive bumper to bumper. Now it's just regular traffic.
