cant believe anyone on here knows what they are!

I've been working on a set for about 10 months now.

16 x 9.5 rear
16 x 8.5 front.

mental!

---------- Post added 12-05-13 at 18:08 ----------

also im not sure those are RS. I recon they are something else. too large for starters and more spoke than dish.

also i believe the super RS were only a recent addition to the range and i recon thats a very old photo

There are some different RS' if I recall. BBS RS 001, 003, 009, 098, 207, 211, 212, 285 depends on what they came off. They all have the same basic idea just small differences but all come under RS so that may be why they look a tad different, or the colour may be deceiving.

That's gonna be wicked though, how long till they're ready to go and on the wagon?

I really want a set in 16x7f/16x9r or so on my car but I need to do a lot of saving first haha.

stock87 - the powdercoaters left bubbles, chips flaking off and didn't get solid colour on the inside of the spokes. so i'm taking them back for a second coat. It's been like 8-10 months already from purchase to redrill and colour change and polishing, hub change etc etc.

probably be ready for summer next year with semi slicks i'm hoping.

as for the different types these are something like rs302 and rs303. RS is the style name and the numbers represent a offset / dish / width setup. so its like if holden stockies were numbered I recently discovered apart from the 15 x 7 and 6" theres also different offsets for irs and normal and years back i found out that the vl had a hub that was stepped whereas a later model stockie has a flat hub. hard to explain but youd understand from a photo.

BBS made lots of meshies and were very well known for them so those would be some other bbs model for sure.

it looks as if the spokes go right to the edge of the rim instead of having a lot of space taken up by the polished mounting surface like mine. they might even be 1 piece rims or 2 piece!

---------- Post added 14-05-13 at 00:01 ----------

16 6 12

Win!

BBS RS split rims 16x8j et 42
polished lip and centrecap with silver meshies
5 x 120 BMW centrebore should just need a slight drill out like all VE rims

picking up tuesday, maybe earlier (Working all weekend )

---------- Post added 28-06-12 at 21:36 ----------

my stockies are et 48 and the MOMO's which stick out just a tad too much are et35 so these should be somewhere in between. hope they go well!

The simmons and Walkies I couldn't find any measurements

8.7.12

So done a little research on the BBS's

I have:
2 x 8j16 et42 RS322
2 x 9j16 et40 RS323

Stud pattern is actually 5 x 114.3 But I';ve found someone to drill them and repaint them... thinking Rose Gold whats everyone's thoughts?

1 3 13

wheels drilled

front

rear

rear clearance... wedged in!

i had gloss white Walkies once. cleaning them is a bitch!

also black... eh its a holden not a honda.

the colour they are is a bit of a spin on the bronze / gold colours everyone use to run on simmons in the 80's 90's. it's as close as i can get to "rose gold" in powdercoat.

can ou imagine trying to polish 2 pack rims like this? It's all about the powdercoat ha.

SIroller if you don't mind asking where did you pick your BBS' up and how much did they set you back? PM me if you prefer. I'd love to get a set one day in the probably very distant future. :P

paid $650 on ebay.

oaid $600 cash fir all to be rolled redrilled stud pattern and bore and hex nuts and 6 lips polished.

purchased 2 1.5" lips for $200 on ebay (1" lips will go to the fronts and the .5" lip will be sold or stored)

powdercoating $120 materials and labour.

So far I'm in at waaaay to much money ($1570) but with tyres etc I can hold onto em for 1500-2g as they will fit bmw aswell and have a good offset.

ford stud pattern. the prick who sold em to me said they were bmw which just needs the bore changed. he also said they were all in the same nick as the one photographed. when i got em there was a welded crack which had re-split plus gutter rash and one of the centre hex's had been smashed.

Look good. Does your mate still have those polished fr17's that used to be on your vl when it was still rb30?

2 weeks after that I settled on some 19" Advanti S920's (and some lowering)
