I also saw this sell on eBay. Been buying parts and watching vl stuff for years. Gets a bit annoying seeing the amount of people willing to rip others off. Not a real good site to try and do so!

I think i've been pretty open & honest with this car from the get go.

I don't care what this car sold to the 2nd owner( who held onto it for 12months or so) some 18 months ago, then what the next brief owner(who had it for 2 weeks) bought it for...then i bought it in August 2013 & all i know is what i paid it.

The car is worth as much as the next bloke wants to pay for it.

I chose to advertise it here as thought i was amongst enthusiasts....There was always going to be someone that new the cars history more than what i knew of it.

If the car sells it sells, if it doesn't, i'll be sticking with my original plan & rebuilding it.... As my Mechanics & Painter have said, it shows all the signs of a genuinely honest vehicle & a good starting point.

As one of the posters mentioned "let the bloke sell his car" You'd think in this day & age someone would be able to do that without being put under the microscope by Flogs & keyboard warriors.

As for my VK Group A/3, when you have the best & people with money want that best, they'll pay what need to own it, the type of people that have money like that aren't Sniping away on car forums... They're are 'Doers' not 'Dreamers'.

I know Times & Morals have changed.... but my mother always said... "If you dont have anything nice to say, Don't say anything at all" still a good rule to live by.

Have a nice day.
.

Moderators.
This is a for sale ad, not a scrutinise the seller ad.
It amazes me in relation to SOME individuals in society these days (how some people are so negative).

Every car has history, most people couldn't vouch for their car from day one.

People pay for what they truly want.
No matter what the price.

You have to think that any car that is new from whenever it was made,
Quite possibly will have repaired damage because it was worth to fix if it's new
Or quite possibly now if it is a collector item.

Good luck with the sale

If you had of been reasonable with the price I'm sure you would of had a more positive response. Your mother should have taught you some more honesty!

No need to highlight this for moderators, we have been keeping an eye on the thread. The reason none of the posts arguing the authenticity of this car have been removed are simple.

Your original price: $17,500

When you put a price like this and a claim of 5,000km services by old man owner, people are going to question it. You cannot put such a high price with such claims on it's history without people questioning it.

People are putting huge prices on VL Turbo's at the moment trying to catch people out, the member's putting up the history of the car are not doing it in a malicious way, they are clarifying your claim.

Good luck with the sale, my recommendation would be to review your price and history that you are 100% sure of and starting a fresh thread.

FYI he actually kept the car because too many people know the history VIN etc and wouldn't buy it. It sits at his house.
