Mate jump in a stroked efi engine or even just a stock 304 efi & then a stock 5l carby, Efi are sh1tloads more responsive than a carby engine there's no comparrison & as for sound bugger all difference i have a twin 3" into 1 out the back "pure Music"

I would just run the delco that the vn/vp uses or even kalmaker initial cost is a bit more but works out cheaper because you programme your own engine on a laptop rather that payiing for a new chip every time you change something.
Madvk when are you going to go efi ? i've done a few into vh/vk's if you need any info/hand.

Mechanical Fuel injection isn't the best thing to be running on the street. I would either stick with the carby or go to EFI.

MPFI is the same system that is run on basically every efi car out there, so yeah its good.
Street use there is noooo reason whatsoever to choose a carby over efi, efi will get better economy, be more responsive and make a better power/torque curve, carbies just dump fuel down the guts when the pedal is pressed, with no control... efi is all optimised in precisional harmony
i also currently own a 308 and a efi v8, the efi v8 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> carby, hence the carby 308 is getting vn heads

I am in the IT Field Epitaph.

I suppose it depends on how you look at it sinister.

MPFI = Mechanical Petrol Fuel Injection ( Mechanical)
MPFI = Multi Point Fuel Injection ( Electronic)

I took it as he was asking about Mechanical injectionm yet he may have been talking about multi-point EFI.

My Bad.

I will second that one, my dad had one in his ute, sounded tough but when I drove it .... holy crap this things gutless. No joke my sisters 81 corolla had more guts, but in saying that any motor will go hard with a bit of work and alot people like the 253's so I won't bag them too much.
