Smile 253-308 heads?

hey ppls,
2 questions.. first;
would 253 heads fit a 308 or vis-verser...?
and also..
if they do.. what would it go likee. ?

just thort about asking

Yes they fit.. either way..
Just dont put heads with big valves on a 253 cause they can hit the block.

would 253 heads restrick a 308 at all ? or are they the same heads?

308 heads are the same as 253 heads, you can put B cast heads on a 253 with no worries (larger valves) it still has clearance.

you just cant put VN heads on a 253 as the valves will hit the deck. if you were keen you could have recesses put in for clearance but financially wouldnt be worth it.

nah i got 253 heads off my old motor and standard heads on my new motor(308) thinking about workign them a bit for the time being till i upgradee
