253/308 Heads

hey guys this maybe a stupid question but are 253 and 308 heads the same? and can any one tell me will blue 308 heads fit a red 308 or vice versa?

yes they are inter-changable.

early reds were no pollution or egr. late reds and all blue/blacks are egr/pollution.
i believe there also inter-changeable left to right :s

I dont think you can use a red inlet manifold on blue or black heads

they have different bolt patterns
early red motors have 1 centre bolt later ones have 2
