Calder Park Drift Day.

Anyone heading down this saturday, It opens at 11:30am, cost for spectaters is about $17 or so dollars.

Should be good viewing with "Real" Japanese drifters, in action showing us how it's done.

I'm planning on heading out there should be good viewing.

yea, i went to the practise day that last monday off coz my mate entered. i dont think there are ne hardcore jap drifters, just the guys from full-lock and a bunch of amateurs - watch out for the red 32 and the burgandy 33. heaps of ppl from the silvia club are entering on the day simply coz u can drift on a track and not worry about 5-0.

I wanna see some "Drift Damage", Good entertainment seeing guys crash there cars.
Rather theirs than mine..

According to the guide off fullboost, jap drifters will be putting on demonstrations.

Should be alright even if it's only Silvias and 180sx's drifting, Should be a few other cars drifting too.

It was a wikid day.

D1 guys from Japan were absolutely awesome, good to see a chick drifting (and she was doing it in a commodore!) and Adams R32 (Red, black bonnet, broadside team) was mad as was the black over pink silvia

Good fun although the promo girls seemed to be missing and there weren't a whole lot of trade stands there.

Can't wait till next year!

Got sunburnt though

I got sunburnt as well, Not a bad day for $15, Hated the wait around until the pro drifters came out, but they put on a good show 4 cars doing dounuts together and one jap guy with the door open and foot on the door while doing dounuts. Top stuff.

That chick could handle that blue VK SS well, did a nice burnout in front of the area I was standing in.

Some absoulte tools driving some cars had no idea of car control what so ever, But there were some gun drivers there as well, That red Gemini was lethal as was that POS black Datsun 1600, What the hell was in that thing I'm guessing a SR or FJ motor had some balls.

I saw a few VLT's in the carpark, I did'nt take my car parranoid about car theives, but there some nice cars in the car park.

Saw EZY-200 that maroon calais, was for sale a while back not sure if it's a new owner but that car looks terrible now, very run down in condition, different interior, rust poking out front and rear screens, broken chrome moulding strips.
Bit of a shame to let a nice car get like that.

I reckon it will be on again it had a big crowd today bloody took me 30minutes to get out of the fricken car park.

yea, the D1 drifter were sweet. they wernt at the practise day tho when i went.

the matt black datto is sam's (Dr. Drift), he used to work for BMT, but now he works sumwhere else. neway it's a CA18 but it's got a 2.2ltr bottom end kit. pulls 150rwkw, sounds like a bucket of **** tho - ahhahah.

the gemi was *** sweeet, spoke wit the dood, it's just a worked 1600, i had a gemi and they are really resposive and easy to get the tail sliding with very little pwr.

danny denzo's 'Pink Bits' s13 looks mint - he is really ****y **** coz my mate got in2 a punch on with him earlier bcoz he didn't like fotos of his car w/out some sticker or sum****??? who knows....

i dunno if u guys saw adams broadside racing red r32 spin out on the back straight - he was fish tailing it the whole way down, was doin easy 150 i rekon, anyway, tire poped, and he done basicly a 180 with his foot still on the pedal at the speed, mate got it on his digital video camera - *** awesome driving.

great day, got sunburn too.

chris.

the drive of the R32 when the wheel poped, was actaully a D1 driver, not the owner of the car...

Definately a "Jap" D1 driver of the red R32 when the tyre popped, I went too look closer at the car after his tyre spinning popping incident and saw a jap dude get out of the car. Good driver.

Noticed that R32 had a canary stuck on it too.

Dr Drifts black datto, you sure it had a CA 18, can't believe that, man that looked ballsy wheelspinning it all the way out of the corners and onto the straight.

Had a great day, really enjoyed it.

Denzo seems to be a bit of a tool with his ethics, ego and lack of driving skill on the day. Rules are there to be followed, i dont see why Denzo needs an exception.

Drifting in a dangerous sport and what he did could have costed lives. (see the crash video on think above).
