hey guys just signed up onto here recently had a vl berlina 5.0L handed down to me from my grandfather in great nic! runs beaut quiet as hell for a 5l thought id show it off lol.

classic, certainly original.

for a bit more induction sound, turn the air cleaner lid upside down. Sounds great when you boot it, but unfortunately doesn't make it go any better

Looks 99% like A vl I left my number on like 2 weeks ago except the one I saw was turbo with disabled sticker on window and racv member for life sticker

Very nice original VL. As others have said, don't molest it by going stupid with big ugly rims, excessive lowering, body kits and so on.
If you really want some sound from it, extractors, high flow cat and 2-1/2 inch system will be enough. It's all I've done to my Calais and it's got a very nice note now. It was dead stock when I got it, know what you mean by dead quiet with that setup.

Looks mad, lose the bonnet protector, rear mud flaps and hubcaps get an HDT grille, paint the rims silver then add some centre caps.
Next get some extractors and angle grind a piece out of the back of the air cleaner.
It will retain originality but suit your age better. Good luck with it anyway, watch the scums, get a good alarm.

oh yeh its a killer when pop used 2 drive it down to melbourne it would go through so dam much fuel in the suburbs not so bad on the highway though
