Guys, yes i have done a search. i cant find anything about this thing? what is it? and what does it do?

ive heard there are mixed feelings about it, but weather or not it does work, what is it it's SUPPOSED to do?

Once you drive a VL with one, you'll never go back. You can realy notice the difference...honestly

"Certain frequencies have not been "tuned out" as they are necessary for increased road safety."

So if someone found out what these "certain frequencies" were and made the device "tune them out" would this device then become a terrorist tool (weapon of mass destruction)?

heard of a guy once that was a very smart scientist. He had huge capactitors in his boot that run at such a fequency that it would make speed/radar guns just explode basically. The ploice were baffeled and he never got caught. not sure of the exact story but it was something like that.

It is scary to think that everything has a vibrational frequecy and it would be possible to hypertheticaly melt a persons brain just by hitting that frequency. This is similar to how they destroy kidney stones I think.

Chuck one of these guns in a satelitle in space and aim it at a country. Now thats a wepon of mass destruction.

hahaha hilly ur capacitor story sounds like a bit of a fairy tale .

I beleive ur talking about resonant frequencies, and yes everything has a resonant freqeuncy. It's basically the frequency where "things" just s h i t themselves and for different "things" there's different frequencies.. It can make glass just shatter, it can destroy a bridge if the structure vibrates at it's resonant freq, i've even heard of a guy ****ting himself because of resonant frequency's.
There's mechanical resonance and electrical resonance...this was actually one of my favorite subjects when i did my adv diploma

brockie is an awesome dude, but he is also a hippie! Polarizers do nothing heh, u might as well top up your radiator with holy water and stratigically place cloves of garlic around your car to ward off vampires while you're at it.

Brocky's energy polariser works by harmonically aligning the electrons throughout the vehicle, a duck's quack doesn't echo, margarine causes macular degeneration, glass is a 'supercool' liquid, reusing PET bottles causes cancer (anyone see a pattern forming here?), bodybuilders need to eat lots of protein, Bill Gates is paying people to forward e-mails and magnetic under-blankets relieve back pain.

While it might be fun (and even profitable) to make stuff up and spread it around as fact, pretty soon someone is going to ask you for evidence - Brocky couldn't come up with the goods and paid dearly for it.

BTW, Bill - Isn't cast aluminium/magnesium (head, inlet tubing, plenum chamber) acoustically dead? That is - has no resonant frequency? I wonder how Brocky's polariser affected them.

;-)

was mounted to the right of the engine bay, punched between the build plates, but facing towards the inside of the car (i.e. not on the engine side of the firewall)

had a sticker on the bottom middle of the back window which acted as an aerial... or so they said.

It should be noted a vehicle which normal requires high octane leaded fuel is then able to operate on low octane (92) unleaded fuel, without any ill effects whatsoever, when an Energy Polarizer is fitted.
**** if that worked id fit one just for the $$ saving factor.

I'll tell you if it works when I get my LE delivered. I am currently driving a VL with no polarizer but the LE has one so will see if there is a difference surely

The Polarizer is mounted in different positions depending upon the model it is fitted to. The VL Group A plus pack's had them over to the side due to the central mounted cold air intake. The LE, Corsa, Nitron and a few other models that had them optional, were mounted closer to the centre of the vehicle.
The theory behind them was interesting in concept but they have now become a very collectable item to have and worth a lot more $$$ than they sold for new. I think that they fit into the same category as a lot of other things on the market in that if you believe it works then that's all you need to make it work. As an example:
It had been proven that just fitteing a larger exhaust to some cars would actually make them lose fuel efficiency and power but the owner was convinced that the car was better just because it sounded better. A retune of the ECU to suit the exhaust would lower the fuel consumption and improve power but is very rarely done.

vibrations resonance and impact harshness which are always present in any vehicle and also to dampen out the effects of imperfect manufacture of vehicle components
I thought, Why dosent my Calais have one... then I noticed that it is to iron out Imperfections... and since the Calais is Perfect :-)

Quote:
Tyre pressures must be lowered to maximise the effect of an Energy Polarizer. Recommended tyre pressure:-
Standard and 60 series tyres - 24 P.S.I (165 k.P.a).
45 / 50 / 55 series tyres - 22 P.S.I. (150 k.P.a).
Light trucks and commercial vehicles - 30 P.S.I. (210 k.P.a.).
wouldnt the lower Pressure make the most differnce, More Road Grip... softer track means less bumps...
the smaller wheel is easy to turn so it will get you off the mark quick, your top speed is just lower.... but as your wheels heat up, and spin fast over 100km the Tire would flex out the Slack so you would not notice soo much...
what do you think?

Here's a couple of pic's one mounted on the firewall in the engine bay. Annoying that they were photographed on an angle... but you get the jist.

Thats right! I remember that one of Brocky's recomendations was to lower tyre pressures with a polariser fitted, and that the polariser would overcome the negative effects of low tyre pressure on handling. Maybe Brocky could have a second go, now that he's working for them, and try to convince Bridgestone that it will improve the grip and handling of their tyres and that one should be fitted to every car getting a full set of Bridgestones. Then Brocky could use the ghecko to show everyone how much extra grip the car has with Bridgestones plus a polariser fitted.
