autosol polish... if that doesn't work, the steel wool with the soap in it wet will work.

Just installed some new shock bearings & rear wheel bearings and a heavier rear shock spring on the yz250... set my race sag at 100mm but there is next to no static sag obviously the spring is not as heavy as it needs to be...

however the bike was running 6" of sag previously (had know idea it was that easy to set) so it should be a godsend even if my ass cops a flogging

What mix ratios do you guys run?
I've got a YZ 125, and we run it at 65:1 with a fully standard expansion chamber and muffler. Have had no dramas with it in the 2 years I've had it

I had a yz250 pretty sure my mix ration was 30-1

---------- Post added 20-01-13 at 10:28 ----------

There's no way I'd run 65-1 not enough oil

Its as lean as I'd go, but its not a harmful ratio. You will seize however if u run aftermarket pipes or a modified engine, mine still dumps oil out of the powervalve drain hose after a ride.

Basically, a 2 stroke will use the same amount of oil for lubrication whether you run 30:1 or 65:1, so if you run say 30:1, your engine will take in a certain amount of oil and then burn a heap that's left over. So running less oil to a point means that the motor will just burn a little less excess oil, not lack lubrication.

mixtures obviously depend on what the bike has been tuned to run. My RM250 was 32:1 and my current bike is 40:1 ...... obviously if you are doing WFO riding then then more oil for lubrication is the go. Woods riders can quite often run up around 60:1 as they aren't at peak revs constantly. I'd run what you feel comfortable with and tune it accordingly.

I have always had 2 strokes and probably always will, but if I was going to get a 4 stroke I would be hitting up a Husaberg. I rode their FE450 and the power delivery is so smooth and easy to control, plus it felt like it pulled forever. I'm a fairly average rider and I could power slide the thing around corners with both feet on the pegs and it would never feel unstable. 4 strokes definitely inspire confidence. Keep up the preventative maintenance like valve shims etc and they can go forever.
