Only an option if a dealer wanted to change them. Not an option from HSV.

They were rough from factory, but you have to remember, alot of the cars didn't have the lower parts when delivered.

I'm new to the site and own an original walky that I have had in my possession for the last 15 years. As you can imagine I have seen alot of walkinshaws over that period. From those in car mags to those for sale and I much prefer the smooth look which is the way my car came straight from GMH. Sure there are plenty there with the rough finish but to me it detracts from the smooth lines of the car. Anyway thats my opinion.

I work at Shannons and got go for a ride in it to help out for the photo shoot (like i was ever going to say no?),
It really is a nice car.
Having never been in a Walky before I was very impressed with the characteristics of the car considering it is generally a factory standard vl.
The thing I liked even better was that it has most of the creeks and groans that all other VL's have, made me feel better about mine, lol.

Not bad at all... I thought it might have hit $60k, but $57k is pretty good.

Someone picked up a nice investment!

Well when you look at it, this car would've sold a year ago for what...like 35-40K, that was the going rate when I was looking. And this car was clean and represented honest kms.

So what, in twelve months, a 17K appreciation...or a 42% increase? Bloody good if you ask me. And if the value increase in another twelve months, using the same example, this car is now valued at 81K. Brilliant!

Really?

Sort've indirectly inflates the prices doesn't? Is this AMCS normal practise of buying and selling cars?

I've been told some stories about how they privately buy a car, put down a deposit and then advertise the same car on their website whilst keeping the private seller on hold for a few weeks.

Not directly no, but the person who told me about one such instance pretty much can't stand their rep from Vic because of this. Although there are many whom praise their services so who do you believe?

Nah that is the one that was on ebay a few weeks ago.

http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=107331

Plus he is asking $56k for it and the one at Shannons sold for $57k.

As for AMCS I too have heard of similar stories.

But there will be some relief... I do believe that there will be a rival site starting up soon for Aussie Muscle type cars. So keep on the look out

There you go - what did I say.

This one on AMCS was bought two weeks ago for $41K....not bad little mark up is it.

Hence last nights car will go for $70K+

Also they made sure that #29 was put on the market to co-incide with the sale of last nights car....kms which are close and price being in the same ballpark.

Noted they have removed the front splitter on #29 which is ratsh!t, no books and replacement tags.

I'm sure some halfwit will be jumping on it pretty soon!

ebay, shannons and amcs are all corrupt i wish it could back to the days where you buy and sell cars thought trading post. I would like a brockie or walki but would not deal with these greedy money hungry thieves!

Lol, not ebays fault or shannons... they are auctions.

People don't like putting cars like these in the trading post. No showers, time wasters and potential theives are too much of a risk.

i agree with time wasters as ive had people stuff me around when im selling my cars on the trading post and if you owned a brock-walky then potential is greater for theft not disputing that BUT

what about all people selling on ebay and having right to end auction early as they are selling elsewhere? There has been a fair few re listings as sellers cant get what they are asking and wasting serious buyers time

Yeah thats right Carl, from HSV to the dealers the lower parts weren't on for that reason (and they weren't actually designed for road use either, the Holden Supplement vol 9 says this).

Some dealers couldn't be bothered fitting them, or the owners didn't want them.
