Danny was kind enough to give me his engine cover for me to smooth cover and make 1 piece, got rid of the joins, lion logo on front.
Unsure of what colour to do it? maybe gun metal or something brighter?...

Bought the gas struts from work today, cheap as and grunty.
Did my tail gate as it kept dropping on ya head like a gilotine and did the front bonnet.
As the saying goes 'should have done it sooner'. Was so easy and quick, honestly took 15 minutes max. Need to trim bonnet though as the VK bonnet edge seems to hit and jam against stay. bonnet sits up slightly.

Turn your gas struts around,The shaft should always point down,Main body to the top,The seals will pack up really fast that way,And most likly fit better.

Cheers Marty

Yeah the oil inside the strut will keep the seal lubricated

Best bang for buck mod!! I did my boot too. Stabilus does a strut for a VL Brock. Goes under the parcel tray. I went for a longer one like the Walky has factory. The short ones Marty is refering to look awesome when the car is on show!

I reckon body colour or the 2 other current colours on the wag. Red or Black. Black would look cool with the diagonal swages on the rocker covers in silver.

The colour of my 19's would look good. Then you'd be coloured coded for when they go on there. Hahahaha.

See theres a reason i keep the red stripe!
Let me know what you think.

thanks man, he grinds back the rubber a wee bit with grit wheel to smooth off the writing on there, then applies the paint. takes about an hour to do all 4.
$25 a tyre to do, cheap as for such a big effect on the looks.

the pin stripes were a bit ugly, but i had a vision in mind and knew they would tie in well once red walls were done.
