unless you do other things i dont think youll feel the difference but you should get a slight increase in economy.

pauls vl, it's very weird that you wouldn't notice the difference, from putting extractors and a larger cat back on i noticed a decent bit more low end for normal driving and it pulls harder wen i floor it too 4 sure.

i did the extractors after the cat back and thats where the major difference came in.

oh yeh, if you put a 3" cat back on thats where ur problem is, thats way too big for an n/a, sell ur 3" b4 it gets old and put a nu 2.5" cat and cat back on (mandrell bent ofcourse) and trust me you will notice the difference from that.

i found with fuel economy that i could gain more economy from being light footed but can burn a lot more fuel than b4 by driving like an idiot, that kinda says something about how much easier the car can breathe with good extractors

bloody smokes it up so nicely
that sounds about right for a calais but an exec with those mods could do low 16s if driven right

The only mods I have on my NA 5spd is a Pod Filter and Cannon exhaust but im going to go for a Cold Air Intake Kit.

I reckon it would do the quarter mile in about 16-17 secs.

that Sounds right.. a 9.8 on a 1/8th mile
is 19.6 secs on a Quarter Mile... 20 sec pass sounds about right for a Stock-Rock with slightly better tail pipe....

actually you need to learn how to convert 1/8 to quarter male. its more like mid to high 15's

lol took my girls stocko vs commy and ran a 16.57. thought that was pretty **** for a v6 commy and now i know why i like to drive my vl rather than the vs

Has anyone put a turbo style muffler on an N/A vl? Same sort of one you see on loads of 4cyl's. Just wondering because I haven't seen anyone driving around with one and I can't see a reason why people wouldn't do it.. it must sound alright cause its a straight six... anyone?

The reason is because canons look stupid. I've got a "Turbo Muffler" but its just a stocko looking thing.

I dont see why people think cannons look stupid... If you dont have them placed sideways on your VL they look quite nice, im thinking of getting one my self

a cannon only looks good if the car's got balls to back up the looks, otherwise it's rice, which should only be seen on a rice car, ie, not a commy

steve leerentvelts orange lj torana sued to have twin cannons b4 he did the turbo setup and it looked insane, so there is a place for a cannon but not on a stockish vl, or any vl really imo.

so isnt a turbo muffler just a straight thru one without any bends in it?

Wouldn't have a clue. It's probably exactly the same as any normal muffler. I didn't choose it, and I laugh at how gimmicky it seems.

why do you reckon it wouldn't look good on a VL? I reckon it would look pretty good.
