my vl wont run at running temp? need help

hey guys my vl is playing up i can start it up and it runs perfectly fine when it is cold but as soon as it comes up to running temp it starts a weird gurgling sound and wont rev past 400 or so revs. i have tried changing afm but hasnt worked what should i do next i was thinking maybe try another computer or coil pack as i hav a calais aswel so i can get parts easy. let me know what you think..

When you rev it does it hit limiter at 4000 rpm?

na it doesnt it does 600 max wont even hit 1000 and it keeps blowing black smoke as if its rich as!

Change a few parts and see what happens but I would be chasing a fault code from the computer before throwing money at it.

try turning the afm screw untill it runs normal if you turn it the wrong way it will run worse sounds like its running lean once its warm check fuel pressure aswell.

You need to put it into diagnostic before you mess wit the AFM screw.

i hav had a diagnostic computer on it and it came up with a few codes so i have changed the ones it came up with and had no change the only one i havnt tried yet is a new dizzy as that was one of the codes but just didnt realy thnk it soundid like it would be the dizzy but thats the next thing im goin to try

I reckon it might be the ACC valve give it a clean & reinstall.
Or other helpfull information:-
AAC Valve:
undo the connector and 2 screws holding it to the plenum chamber. clean the black carbon off the valve with throttle body cleaner. check that the valve has plenty of movement and won't be prone to sticking, this will raise the idle by allowing too much air to bypass the throttle body or stop the flow all together depending where it is stuck. if it is a bit sticky put a little wd40 to make it slide easier. reinstall the valve.
