yep there were a few crashes,

VH & VS - one was doing a burnout and the other one came flying through the smoke and rear ended it.

VL 5L - just had a few dents and race tape here and there.

and i think there was another but i can't remember, the VH & VS one was the most serious though.

Yeah as XY351 said, there were a few crashes. The VH & VS one was a nasty little incident. Only happened because of how it was organised, with one lane for burnouts and the other was for cruising.

They should have kept it how it was, for cruising only, and no burnouts, they had more stacks last year than i have seen in the last three methinks.

It'd be cool if they had spear a spud out on the lawn hehe, i'd go in that. And that go to whoa sh!t goes for tooooo long.

Anyway, i hope its better this year because i want to enter this time.

Yes there were more accidents last year than in the previous years.

And someone did get injured in a car. Can't remember which car though.

I'd say it would have been someone in the VS/VH crash as that was the worst one of the lot.

Well i just read on the CCC website (www.commodorecruiseclub.net) that the easter nats are cancelled. 8 councilers voted and 5 of them were against the permit. blah blah.. its f*cked.

So i guess we'll have to make our own fun like DRAG RACING on the streets and ripping BURNOUTS in the middle of an intersection.

Gee i never thought that this would occur it was usually a excellent well organised event, i heard the same thing about the shepparton nats but never thought that would ever happen either but after hearing this i gather its very real and could also happen, i think they need to organise some sort of supernats style of event at calder park or something like that or else there got nobody else but themselves to blame if there's a lot lot more illegal drag racing going on coz of no events happennig.Jerry

id be up 4 it too. Im sure they would prefer this. I mean, its OK that sandown has V8 super cars that can be heard for miles and no 1 complains! As soon as it comes to car enthusiests, they dont even give us the time of day!

I mean, its a once a year event! The track closes @ like 5 anyway! How can the noise effect anyone? And if it does, then why buy ahouse so close to a racetrack?

It's a bloody shame. I too look forward to going to the nats every year. Especially THIS year because i wanted to enter in it. Complete utter bullsh!t. And those pencil
d!ck pen pushers that get paid 5 times what they are worth (let's face it, they dont do sh!t, all they are is wanna be polliticians) get to vote to see whether this event continues on or not.

What gets me is, why has this issue been brought up all of a sudden? Why not last year? or the year before? why not next year? ... Sandown has been there for years and years.. Im not sure about the Nats, but i assume it has been an ongoing thing for over 4 years atleast. SURELY, when the easter nats first started up there were complaints? There must have been people against it. I wouldn't be the least surprised if one or more of these "councilers" live(d) next door and got this friggen partition amended.

P!sses me off.. I agree in destroying stuff that weekend.. wait, nobody said destroy stuff.. oh well, i have, lets all get smashed and destroy things and run rampant that weekend. Can you imagine if all of the would be entrants brought thier cars down to sandown and started acting up on that HWY!?? lol would be a spectacle.
