What boost were you running with the GT35?

Red RB30jet,
yer as FLWLSS said, i sold the link ecu to a friend and got autronic smc. The link would have done the same i would say though.
A touch smaller than a gt35 but very similar BB turbo. Running completly std motor with a small cam and 32.6psi boost. It's been done on std internals before, but this setup was done on a pretty low budget.

The jatco is holding up well, i did 5, 10 second passes that night all over 128+mph with no dramas at all except a ****house radiator causes overheat probs...

It's not a yarra valley anymore, it's been rebuilt by a friend and is much better and has a transbrake too.

Cheers.

Fark me 32.6psi, with standard gear. Again goes to show how strong these engines are.

I don't think you would have been useing Optimax then?

More like C16.

Congratualtions on that time, And as you said you did'nt have a big budget to get there.

Yep, as i said done on a tight budget for a stock motor so yer c16 is a killer fuel of choice.
I actually bought the vl turbo motor from these forums a while back with 160,000km's for $400. Killer bargain.

Thats an excellent time there aerovl congratulations and may the times tumble even further.Jerry

P.S your the only guy out there with a 10sec vl still running a jatco, most are using the more favoured trimatic.Excellet acheivement.

Yes my old car was there. It was the new owners first time out so he was more in learning mode esspecially with the fact he has never raced a fast car.

it ran a 12.2 with a 1.9 60 foot time and at 111 MPH. pretty slow 60 footer but next time hopefully it will crack an 11...

Thanks guys for your comments,
yeah the jatco was holding up fine, i've had it for a while now and it's been built pretty well.

There are a couple of 3 speed jatco's around doing some 10's but i think this is the 1st 4speed jatco to achieve these sort of times??? I may be wrong.

Good to catch up again VLMUZZA.

Springer, i would love a trimatic, but unfortuantly i still do a lot of highway k's so overdrive gear was still needed for fuel economy. I would love to see the times tumble more, but i don't think my wallet will allow it. lol.

Jet6, i think brett will go hard next bairnsdale meeting. One to watch out for when finished.

VLMUZZA, hehe, yeah we have raced together twice i think back a couple of years ago.
Yeah i drive it most days of the week to work. And would you believe it's actually still good on fuel economy!
I do have another car however, it's a injected v8 and makes a great tow car
