Well I didn't break anything. Ran a new PB 7.848, yep my new exhaust and the carby I borrowed gained me nearly .5 of a second previous best was 8.38. F#$king stoked. This means that I would potentially be running a high 11 1/4 mile. The track up in Mildura is immaculate. Best 1.8th mile track in Aus. It is that good that they had the new Lamatinna Top Alcohol car running for a demonstration. It couldn't do a full pass because the track does not have enough stopping distance. But it still ran the quickest 60ft time in Aus to date. Awesome piece of machinery...

Got a Trophy, Octane Booster and a bottle of fuel set for winning the bracket. For the best reaction time I got a Knife cutting set, some sponges and a set of 5 inch 3-way speakers.

I will be down in Ballarat for the final meet in 2 weeks. Cars not much to look at currently, it's suffering from a bit of cancer. It's coming off the road after Ballarat for a full rebuild. I have just purchased a VL V8 Berlina shell which will receive all my running gear, Calais front / Interior, bigger rims and a full respray. Hopefully all will be ready before Casterton in November.

I thought the turn out was bad this time. After 3 race meetings in 3 months the People are starting to get sick of it. I never see any new cars hardly having a go.

vl383 I had a quick look at your car while i was roaming the pits and looks like a nice rig good job of winning the b class. I would have thought a much quicker time would be required to win in that class.

Dam i wish i had of raced but i had to work in the afternoon so i couldn't and the boss was already angry about me taking the previous sunday off for the easternats so maybe next time if they hold another meet in warrnambool this year.

I was told they are going to hold a burnout comp at the strip soon so that will be alright to check out as well.

You don't have to have a fast car at all. If fact you could drive your mum's old excel and still win. That's the good thing about bracket racing and "Dial Your Own" times. It's all about consistency (keeping as close to you dial-in time without going quicker) and good reaction times (getting as close to .400 as you can)

That would have been my problem i wouldn't know what time i would dial in at. I might buy a g tech and see what that tells me even if they aren't that acurate at least i will have some idea.

If you mum doesn't have one then you can borrow your Dads.....lol

Every track that you go to is different (traction, temp, etc) so no one ever knows exactly what to dial in either. The previous week at Mildura with only a different Carby I was running 7.8, this week at Warny I was running 8.3 sec passes. That's why you get at least 3 practice runs before the eliminations start. At Warny practice is from 10:00am till 12:00pm. Racing usually starts a bit after 1:00pm
