I think you'll find that 49cc is more power than 200 watts. Therefore they require rego ect to be legitimate on the road.
Several years back I saw the midget from the Jay Jay's ad riding a mini bike on the road. Every single person on Toorak rd's mouths dropped when they saw him, was a pisser.

you guys are tossers :P
make your own, dont spend ridiculous amounts on these things!

my mini-bike cost me 30 bucks for motor an abit more for clutch
160cc's of pure balls with new rings, bearings, high compression head, bored out cylinder, and future plans of running it on methanol! when i get some cash to waste. goes hard ~70k's

pics : http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/l...e/DSC01549.JPG

oh also this current craze in these bikes will be ruined by
A) someone getting seriously injured or dying.

Who cares if they go down? i will still ride one around my area.. what are the cops gonna chase me throo the local park along the bike/walking tracks? lol

good cheap fun.. ready for the summer.. with the road bikes they say when you get them you have to tighten everything up so they dont fall apart.. and they are only 800-$900 toys so if you treat them like crap and dont take care of them ofcourse your going to have problems.. 5-6 of my mates already have them and they have had no major problems yet and they ride there's hard..

wippa snippa.......

you could easy fit a rotax 125 kart engine in the choppers, and they are watercooled and come with electric start and everything, very pricey though...

the old 33cc stand up scooters are more powerful than 200 watts so 49ccc will most definately be more thn 200 watts.

If they ban these things that means they will have to ban almost all scooters etc etc. They will do ti but its going to be hard.

I can imagine some cops on mountain bikes chasing you.

I want to get in a bike chase with my BMX.

I whent to a few shops today.. one on Rooks Rd Vermont and one on Christmas st Fairfield... I got to see the Mini Chopper 4 stroke/4 speed(49cc) go and they friggen hammer and dont sound at all like a lawn mower.. also got to see the ATV 4 wheeler's go and they are also 4stroke/4 speed(50cc) and they hammer hard aswell.. both have Horn,Alarm, lights, electric start etc for abit over a $1000... and i think they run on stright unleaded so no having to mix oil like alot of the other bikes..

In my opinion the Quad 4 wheeler bikes are the best looking and something differnt but they roll easyyy as.. So if yousr looking at buying one shop around as alot of the places are bringing new one into the county soon.. like 110cc 4 Stroke Quad bikes.. which will be F**king fast.
