Ah ha, maybe Mitch! It's actually a VL V8 picture I stole off the Simmons website, and Paint'd into my car.

There'll be no LE parts for the moment. Mostly interested in go-fast bits.

But I'd gladly accept a donation of a series 2 Madiera Red Calais interior...

ANYWAY, I bought something! I actually bought a part!

My brand new VB-VQ hub adaptors for VT-VZ discs! $264 delivered from eBay. And I must say, insanely fast postage. These are the first step towards getting my big brakes up front. Next up will either be the calipers themselves, or the adaptor bracket to fit the calipers from good old Matt (vhr32).

If anyone else is considering running 300zx or R32GTS-T four piston front calipers, be aware that you buy rebuild kits (to do both calipers) on eBay for $45.

Also, I should be getting a complete Nolathane bush kit for Christmas from my parents. Good on them for getting into the VL!!

that all depends on how thick you spread it on and the loaf to jar quantity, you could end up being left with bread and no butter . . then your up **** creek !!

Alright, ya slut-whores - I am mere moments away from finding out whether I'm getting a new job with a nice $6K pay rise - should that happen, it'll be Christmas for the VL. I promise!

I am getting R32 GTR four spot caliper adaptor brackets off Matt (vhr32) in the next few days, so I'll put pics up of them as soon as they arrive!

Tim I must say mate its good to see your doing things the right way. Big brakes and good suspension ! I'm going to feel a lot safer in this car with brakes than nothing at all, he he. I'm not sure if i asked you but what times are you looking for ? I think an 11 makes a good street car

But I have made an enquiry into a nice turbo and manifold setup...

Guess I'll need a fuel system then...

Not a real update, but I just like seeing the thread at the top.

Brackets are cut and zinc coated, and are due to arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. From here, it's going to be put on hold for a few months while I sort out a (possible) new daily - getting quite bored of the Magna. Need something entertaining while this SOAB takes years to be built.

But anyway......I changed the wiring for the EL fans, as it got in the way of cold air intake.....that I'm hoping will fit between the front of the RB25DET cam cover and FMIC pipe (when it's there).

I've been doing some research into fuel systems, and I'm considering some Sard 550cc injectors, twin Bosch 044s off a JDCustoms surge tank (the original triangular sort of one, that hangs above the diff on the driver's side), and matching lift (internal/in tank) pump.

Still lots more decisions to make, money to throw at it, and time to wait. But at least I've found a use for my stocker 370cc RB25DET injectors and turbo...

what did u use the old 370cc injectors on lol

also like to ask, why your going to be running two 040 pumps and larger internals, i would have thought a large internal bosch and a 040 external would have done the job quite adequetly

Ooh, wait - maybe you're right? That was off the top of my head. All my notes are on our external HDD, which cooked a circuit board over the weekend.

Once that's fixed, I'll correct the details.

Oh, the 370cc injectors will find a new home shortly....possibly on a new daily...

I got a little cash for Christmas, and there's apparently more coming my way, which will be enough to purchase the rest of my suspension components.

I've chosen:

Nolathane bush kit

Pedders 30mm sway bar (front), Pedders 22mm sway bar (rear)

K-Mac adjustable strut tops

Whiteline VL V8 adjustable strut brace

New ball joints

ETM lower trailing arm inserts/supports

Hopefully that should be within the next few weeks.

Got about $1500 to spend at the moment, which will cover the above listed suspension bits. Just waiting on Leigh (ETM) to get some of those trailing arm supports ordered in.

I want to save a bit more than I need so I can buy some brake parts at the same time too. Kind of been hanging for this $950 from Rudd - just in case I can get a few things at the same time.

Patience...pay day is next Friday - I'll probably drop most of the pay on it and have some nice pretty pictures for everyone.

Oh - I've decided on a Kaaz 2 way 28 spline LSD too.

Someone buy my diff!!

wow I'm so confused with my own VL practically sold my entire Turbo Conversion now, just waiting on the engine & gearbox now then I have to decide on a number of possible donor engine. I have thought of maybe a 25/30, even a 5.0L etc.

what made you go 25/30 mate?
