The "ROD SHOP" in castlemaine you know that Rod hadfield bloke. He has conversions for absolutely everything. Give him a call or go to www.rodshop.com.au
He can fit anything in anything. I saw one of his cars yesterday. It was a late model bmw and the ladie driver took it to Rod and said she wanted to be able to keep up with all the P platers. So Rod put a Gen III Commodore engine in it!!!!! |

We currently have Supercharger conversions available to suit the VL Commodore/Nissan Skyline RB30 Fuel Injected 6 cylinder engine, Holden Red/Black/Blue motors to suit most applications. (See the picture to the left.) and Holden Commodore 3800 Fuel Injected V6....

The following information is designed to answer some of the questions that could arise if you are considering supercharging a 3 litre Nissan 6 cylinder engine.
The CRS kit is a totally bolt on deal and will totally clear everything in a VL Commodore. The kit will not fit with the power steering and air conditioning in the factory location. The blower will boost around 10 p.s.i. A decompression plate is supplied to maximise performance. The use of Premium fuel with the fitting of water injection would be required if a decompression plate was not fitted. The blower is driven by a suppled "A" section belt from the standard crank pulley. A blower pressure gauge is supplied. The throttle body is removed and a crossover pipe fitted between the blower and stock manifold. No blow-off valve is supplied or found to be necessary. All mounting brackets are suppled and a belt tensioner is built into one of the mounting brackets. A supplied manifold bolts to the blower and allows the stock throttle body to be bolted directly onto it along with the stock air flow meter as well as a supplied cable bracket and a supplied air cleaner. The blowers are fully checked and guaranteed. Fitting instructions are supplied. We have been testing the kit on a VL Nissan and everything has proven 100% reliable and dyno runs have been performed with the below results (see graph to left). On a totally stock motor with only the decompression plate fitted an 80kw reading went to 110kw with no computer modifications. No other modifications have been tested. As previously stated the kits come 100% complete and will cost approximately $1800.00. |

I been thinkin of pickin up a $500 bomb an droppin mah s2 ecotech in the shed in it with a getrag 5spd... s2 eco's just as reliable as the vr/vp v6.. cut a hole in the bonnet, get one of those more airflow intake spacer's of egay to raise the 'what will be polished intake manifold' & do a dodgy lookin grpa tt look out the bonnet? lol
high comp pistons, biger cam, super6 inj, f/pump & reg, 1L surgy, ss cai & a nice tune... better part of maybe 4k with u doin most the work to have it ready for skatin second & chirpin 3rd... :P |

I have seen a holden 202 in a gem, it was rough, it drove but would never of been able to be reg'd. It was just for burnouts. had to cut the firewall and take to the thing with a sledge hammer, it also had no radiator support.

fast vl turbo or a fast gemi
both end up costing the same lol Gemi is lite, requiring less power to get let's say a 12 second pass but the engineering would bring the bill to around the same as a 12 second vl. So much negativity around the subject in the last page. Honestly don't see how people can get on there VL high horse about little cars with big power. Talking like a vl is an engineer f1 race car. Just buy the biggest ugliest skyline rear spoiler and bolt it to the boot if you worried its going to do some interstellar travel!

I remember going to check a blue te or tf I think for sale back in 2005.
Only wanted $3500/4000 from memory. It had ignition issues. A mobile mechanic diagnosed it as a faulty distributor(something like that) Looked pretty cool to see the rb30et in there. Firewall was cut, tunnel was a bit battered. Apart from that, it would of flew. But yes I was told that it easily broke traction in fourth And it was a downfall for the car. |
