Pretty sure u dont hsve to beat the tunnel aswell
hmm I was told the tunnel would need extensive remodeling to fit, they're physically massive compared to the jatco.

GTX35 installed........quite surprised by the increase on my particular setup compared to GT35!

Same boost, 23psi

Top sheet is the final run of the night after the tyres cooled down a bit and not spin as much, ****ing thing, still does a rolling peel out though.
Bottom sheet is a basic comparison between the GT35 and GTX35!!!!!! (from earlier on when it was spinning the tyres)

keen for 10.5's or so!

Would you say that it was spinning approx the same from the 35 to the 35x? Just wondering if the extra power is from less wheelspin but if not 43hp from a compressor change is awesome . Cheers

it always spins up on this dyno, it's a c*nt, stupid car.

cars with more power hook up better, ever since the new dyno dynamics roller got installed...oh well.

once another fuel pump goes in, just the single walbro 450 intank, we'll up the boost a bit more and see if 600rwhp is possible....the auto will most probably go BANG though :'(

Rear housing : .82
Boost level : 20-21 psi
Power 282rwkw on E85. ( Was getting a bit of wheel spin due to old crappy re92 tyres)
Trans : 2 speed powerglide 3200rpm convertor.
Ran a couple of mid to low 11's of the footbrake, Then tried the transbrake an ran back to back 10.8's at 125mph
Bit of an update on my last post^^
Changed the cam over to a Loui's performance spec cam an valve springs,
It started lifting the head so removed the head an decked it an used a thinner head gasket to bring the comp up a bit an fitted one of Loui's head girdles.
Re-tuned to 31.5 psi an made 401rwkw.
Raced at calder last week an ran a 10.1 at 135mph. Should have gone a 9 but missed my shift an hit the limiter then got kicked for no cage

Vlturbo33 your car is an animal

For those wanting an easy 7-10% gain get a GTX 35 wheel profiled into your current 35/40, turbo repairer in Melb does it for under $500 using a genuine garrett wheel

I have a built engine with a gt35 and I need to buy a trans. I have been told to get a glide but I am not too keen on hitting the trans tunnel. For this reason I am tempted to get a Jatco but I read the input shafts are a weak point. I basically just need to be swayed in which direction I should go. Thanks.

Three speed jatco's can be built to hold up to a mid 9 and 150mph in a vl. The only downside is a powerglide rated to the same power is cheaper to buy and cheaper to rebuild. Having three gears instead of two is a lot better for the street.

The input shafts are a weak point on the 4 speed due to overdrive, not the 3 speed.

P.S. wrong thread. Start another one for transmission selection.

It's the intermediate shafts not the input that's the issue.

Had mine on DD dyno last week, made 302rwkw@18psi on 98.

GT35/40 (0.82)
Rajab Plenum
DUZ360 Zorst Manifold and 4" dump
Tighe cam and ported head, thin MLS gasket
1x 044 external, 1 x Walbro 255lph intank, 550cc Inj, old school Haltech E6H, single LS2 coil

Looks fairly easy to make 400rwkw with a GTX, E85 and a bit more boost!?...

^^ nice power, hoping to get similar result on 98.

has anyone experience with GT35/40, manual, and JPC inlet manifold. Which rear housing, and whats the response like?
I am more interested in power range, does the JPC inlet target the high RPM power or is it good all the way through with a manual.

Cheers, that was through a KEAS 3 Speed and 3500ish stall...

I always thought short runner manifolds made more power up top? What rear housing are you going to use?

Anyone using a 1.06 rear with internal wastegate? Are you having problems controlling big boost e.g. 20-30psi or will it be fine?

Want to look as stock as possible under the bonnet!

I'm going manual, 0.82 rear housing. I understand shorter inlet runners focus on more top end power, but sacrifice some mid range.
