goodyears on the way apparently then fingers crossed for the fitting. Considering the adjustable strut tops will any of the reputable tyre places be able to fit them easily or is it not a hard job at all? Considering the super low shocks and wanting them to not scrub etc which mob will be best in everyones opinion to fit them

Think he may be hanging on to them for a while until he sorts out harrop brakes. and if he is getting rid of them I have first dibs

After him seeing all the guys today at the drags, don't be surprised if this head down the strip next meet

updates

the fr17's are indeed dibbsed by wonder boy as he has been a legend in not only sling me the car but all his support with everything. One of the nicest dudes i know. if things change then wil post it up here as they have brand new under a tank of petty old bridegstones and theres also a spare set of new 17's for them too.

Car is going to be dragged on the 26th so everyone come and watch me be retarded at my first time at drags. Car is going into boostworx in a few days to get stage to anti lag tuned into the vipec and so hopefully that will all be sweet come 26th, does anyone have any rough estimates as what the best take off rpm will be to get tuned into the soft launch rpm for the take off? all the motor has had done is gt35/40, 550cc injectors, bosch 044 pump and surge tank, vipec and the bottom end and bearings been redone and tuned to 270rwkw linked up to r32 box and standard vl turb diff.

New motor is basically ready too, got the call from bullet cylinder heads today. It's been held up due to getting all the visible stuff polished or reordered in chrome. After the drags it will prob come off the road ready for the new engine and trans and diff and brakes etc

Updates

Hey guys, just thought I'd post up with the updates as theres a heap happening with the build all at once. Brakes which are harrop ultimate kit which are made up of 381mm rotors at front and 356mm on rear with 67 cross vein slots, 6 piston front calipers and 4 piston rears. getting the modified racebrakes vt master cylinder and braided lines with it and not to mention the calipers have been sprayed in House OF Kolor Kandy Brandywine. Finges crossed they arrive Monday but here are the pics so far...

Car and engine is now at boostworx and Shaun has recently hooked me up with a VE tremec 6 speed with bell housing, heavy duty tailshaft and a 1000hp twin plate clutch. The last piece of the motor which has been at the polishers for 4 weeks was the plenum which now looks amazing...

So now apart from things like PWR radiator and harrop true trac 31 spline diff with 4:11's, second bosch 044 for the e85 and billet axles the mechanical side is almost ready for the swap but while the box and engine is out decided to fill any holes in the engine bay as Shaun is going to do hidden wiring, relocate fusebox to glovebox then get it sprayed. Colour of choice is a metallic blue with a silver pearl through it. Hopefully engineers are going to be happy to sign off on it so it won't be an issue when cops start hassling it when they see the polished garrett cooler hanging down behind the front kit..
Car at spray shop....

It was 7 for the kit, more expensive than normal due to the 67 cross vein slots and calipers were h&c coated then had 2 diff house of kolor paints applied plus also included was Vt hubs, handbrake bracket, pads, bolts and adapters then the master/booster and braided lines were another thousand. hoping the red on the callipers will look good at shows with all the red and blue fixtures in the engine bay

coming along nicely... why 4.11's in the diff though? highest I reckon you would want for your setup is 3.9's.
