First VL, bought in july. not a mechanic by any means but enjoy getting dirty and trying it out.

1988 Vactioner, rb30e manaul, louvers rear and corners, all stock so far

just got all new belts and water pump and looking to slowly start upgrading her as the pay checks roll in. want to do exhaust, shocks, springs, panhard bar, paint the bumpers and thin bit of door trim silver also chuck some SSV VE 19s on there to and maybe one day a snail.

will try get some pics up soon. plus been searching and searching about details on fitting the VE rims, so far i know ive got to machine the centres out about 2mm will get them matched to the stock rims, should hopefully be able to get that done at work, and that i need VT-VZ wheel nuts, anything else vital im missing??

welcome, yes you are correct with the VE wheel fitment, not 100% about the 2mm part though, you would be best to measure you hub first

hubs on vl are 71.5 mm from memory, yes correct machine them out, yes correct about the wheel nuts, but make sure you run the correct profile tyres as the fronts will hit the strut/spring support
and well done on the ROYALE, its been converted to manual you know
boo its only a vacationer, well at least its got electric mirrors haha

Mmmm? Just GM. Used to be Nelson Marlbrough holden club.Runs the holden parts outfit.

try 'em and see, my 19s had 245 45s on, and they did not rotate! Running 235 35s on the front now.

They're too big, you need either 225/35R19 or 235/35R19

welcome to ct ..... i have VE ssv rims on mine and you'll need to get 235/35/19 tyres on ... because with the standard 245/40/19 tyres the tire hits the struts ( well on the fronts )
