Re-written modifications guideline
Just having a browse through the vicroads website and I went to the modifications guideline. It appears it's been updated and slightly reworded.
Here's some excerpts: Quote:
It also goes on to mention that ride height is measured 'unladen' and on a flat surface. So no measuring while there are passengers in the car. It's much clearer than it used to be. It specifically mentions spools as being illegal which it never used to. It used to refer to quite a few other terms etc. It also says 'external gauges are legal provided that...', which is worded much clearer than it previously was. Probably not a bad idea to carry the document with you just incase you're getting a hard time on something that's legal. |

I belive your right Brett, but it would have to be completely sealed, as in seat belt slots, not sure on the Torana, but in the case of a vl. Speaker holes and any other vents. For cams log book the engine bay and boot of mine has to be airtight for fume and fire protection.

Just read the new modification guidelines and seems they have made it alot clearer for modifications as you say PROGMH.
By reading that surge tanks and high flow pumps are legal providing that they are not in the occupant compartment which if installed in the boot its legal without a engineers cert. Can someone verify??? Seems to me its pretty clear cut |
