I will pay you to make me a hard top and gas struts for mine. I am dead serious

I still can't find an engine for mine either. No one has altos in stock and stuff paying over a grand for a swift engine then another grand for the gear box

the steel i used for the tray top cost roughly $70, and the gas struts are off a magna at pick-a-part.

yeh the 800's are getting pretty hard to find now, if you find one take it! even if its a whole car. suzuki hatch/alto have them.

the hatch i bought for the engine/susp etc cost me 600

theres a few F series motors that came factory turbo, its just a mattor of finding the gear!

you can also use a dihatsu charade turbo/carby, they came with a factory blowthru setup.

few weekends ago i started the slow process of straightening the rear end. Also spent weeks sourcing some new wheels. finding 15" steel rims with 4x 114.3 stud pattern is quite difficult in the correct offset to fit these cars.

bit of guard rolling, and some flaring in the front and they fit perfectly!

comparison to a 15" rim/tyre from a commo, and the standard 12" wheels

newest editions are; fender mirrors & vt side indicators. got a small steering wheel on the way, and in the next few weeks ill be modding the guards to fit a 7" wide rim with stretched 165's.

---------- Post added 17-05-10 at 19:53 ----------

Also, current power output from a few weeks ago. sure beats the standard 19kw at the fly standard.

that is so cool, is the new stretched 7.5s gonna sit flush or just out of the guards? Man this thing would look insane with fitment.

well i have no room on the inside, the current rims are 5.5, so the new rims are going to be sticking out that extra 2". ill be flaring the guards enough to cover both tyre/rim though.

never seen it done to one of these before, so should be interesting haha

finally got a pic of the steering wheel;

and test fitted my new rims to see how much guard work im gonna have to do, quite a bit!
the current rims are 15x5.5 (which is huge already for this car) the new simmons b45's are 15x7, got an extra 1 & 1/4 " of rim out the guards. they will be fitted with the current 165x45 tyres with a bit of stretch

win! im still stoked to have found those b45's in the correct offset/width/size/stud pattern to suit the car!

Silver all the way.

I'd go a white bonnet though as well. White over black with black pinstripe/accents.
