I had mine shortened and converted to drums, cost of shortening was $300 and then all the parts to make it complete, 31spline moser axles was $900, full spool $400, gears I already had an then have it all installed all up around 2k but like I said I already had new gears so whatever that's worth add to the list

Nice nice, sh1t seems to have gotten serious here. Also I just thought you were talking the talk when you said the bloke had actually started on the engine, seems you may have been walking the walk to, good to see it coming together.

I think they are copies. I just borrowed them off a friend to check the offset.

Nice, very nice. What water pump are you using? Also, what water pump are people using? Is there something better than a genuine replacement? Are people having trouble with them? Ive only had one let got, and I dont have temp problems, just askin.

Its works on the same principal as sleeveing a alloy block. The head is drilled with a special drill bit to within .004 of a thou, Then the head is then put in a hot tank to heat it up so the hole expands and the sleeves are put in liquid nitrogen to shrink them, a special paste is applied like liquid metal and the sleeves come straight out of the nitrogen and put in the holes, as the head and sleeves come back to normal room temp the sleeves expand and the head shrinks to make it an even tighter fit.

The reason they do this is to even out the clamp load on the head and so the studs dont bite down into the alloy giving you a fulse clamp load read out on ur torque wrench when tightning the nuts.

Not that I know about. Im just using a standard one Jase! If your standard pump handles 9000+ RPM, max RPM mine will see is 8500, should be fine. Hope so anyway lol.
