AHHH mega derp moment. Yea next step is getting rid of the resonator, on the hunt for an LSD setup and some rear disc brakes. Any one done a conversion to disks from drums?

Managed to finish up all the wiring on sunday afternoon and kicked into life straight away. Starts gushing oil, which turned out to be oil feed to turbo catching on the turbo housing and not sitting square, easy fix. Turned it on again and running sweet. Did a few laps and went down to the servo to fill it up. Decided it take it on the motorway out to see my mates. No worries cruising for 20 minutes then just dies and wont kick again and wasnt getting any fuel. Took me about 10 minutes before i thought of the fuel pressure regulator solenoid that i wasnt sure if needed wiring in. Turns out it did. Kicks back into life and im away.

Cant get enough of the hectic spooling sounding like a jumbo jet lining up for take off.

I converted mine from drums to disk used a vn rear for parts. You will need different bearings and back plate, pretty straight foward though. WOuldn't be too stressed about doing it, made no change really.

Whilst mucking around with the ECU i managed to earth #4 injector and dump truck loads of fuel into it. Hyrdaulic'd it and ended up with about 1.5L of fuel in the sump.
Took it apart and it doesnt look to bad from what i can tell. Unsure whether to put it back together with new rings or get another 2nd hand rb30 to swap in.
Also thoughts for new setup are 25DET turbo. GTR 440cc injectors and get someone to go over my ECU wiring and tune. And a new clutch some exedy or xtreme clutch basic heavy duty item. Thinking of running about 8-10psi.

Anyone think of any kinks in these plans ?? and experience with what clutch setups are good ?

#4 drowning in fuel

Got my hands on an xtreme HD clutch, and HD pressure plate. Hopefully someone at work will machine my flywheel for a box so thats all set.
While its all apart couldnt help myself and upgraded to a 25det turbo and some gtr injectors to keep the fuel side happy. Ill piece the puzzle all back together and get a tune down hopefuly with a few weeks to go before christmas.

thoughts on standard fuel pump being up to the job? or a walbro or similar replacement might be required?

Flywheel machined to match up to the new clutch

Dump pipe, heat wrapped to protect my loom and look sexual.

25DET turbo small upgrade - on the right

Next up is mount turbo and manifold and sort out oil and water lines. No experience with anything like this what is a good way of going about it ?

---------- Post added 22-11-12 at 14:39 ----------

Is something like this a good idea ?

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=534680834

Or just get all the measurements and sizes and head to somewhere like ENZED to get lines made ?[COLOR="Silver"]

---------- Post added 23-11-12 at 08:53 ----------

Got my rocker cover and intake manifold media blasted, and manifold alodined.
Gave my polishing skills a test with the ECCS segment.

First attempt at wrinkle red, fingers crossed it works mint.

Got the core of the turbo lined up so oil drain is pointing down and started testing up lengths and routes of oil/water lines

How much boost is it running? you would want to keep it pretty conservative with the T25 turbo.

Good stuff... would hate to have to change the engine again if the ceramic wheel on that turbo shattered and wen't through your engine.

Agreed ive had enough pulling engines for a while. time to cruise!

Not to tight roughly 15cm more room forwards and backwards. Im based out at the air force base in whenuapai so its right next door and tuner is in Albany. Got told about him by David Heys, an engine builder. This is the guy tuning it.

Tune is mean and runs sweet now so stoked. small problem car misses between 3500 and 4500 when you give it the jandal. I'm running #7 heat range spark plugs and new leads. anyone have any ideas? possibly spark blowing out or not strong enough in the power zone or not getting enough fuel with factory pump setup? tuner seemed to think it was a spark issue
