Not sure? Where is the lastest news? I though this thread was the official high comp thread?
Would be great to hear some times / hp that you guys have done on a std NA bottom end. I am keen on pushing these motors as hard.

Thanks for that AVG45. Ollie you there? Can you tell us a bit about the setup (if it's not too secret)? What cam? Injectors etc? What you have done there is awesome. Goes to show you don't need to spend big dollars inside the engine if you can tune.
Kyle 6boost, is in Brisbane now right? If he was still in Toowoomba I would pay him a visit for sure.

Sup fellas !!
Kyle is back and well established now in Toowoomba after his little stint in Brisbane

As for my car... It's surprisingly a very simple build.
Quick rundown on main parts...
6 Boost manifold/ GT35 1.06 rear/ Tial gate
Rajab inlet manifold/ XF throttle body
Tighe regrind cam
1000cc injectors, 2 x 044's
Motec M4, MSD 6A ignition, ICE coil & leads
KEAS 3 speed jatco 3200 convertor, VLT LSD

The rest of the parts are much of a muchness like cooler exhaust etc, it's all good quality gear that has been well fabricated, but a different brand fuel reg for example isn't going to change much as long as it works..

I think the most impressive feat with the car has not so much been doing it a bit cheaper than others, but actually putting together a good combo, driving it to and from the track on E85 and pulling off a 9.96@134mph on et street radials.. Can't help but have a
giggle driving it out the gate after the drags and cruising home on the highway..

Went and saw Kyle today.
What oil pump and oil system mods if any have you made mate?
Have you ever tried water injection?
I am suprised at the stall speed, thought it would be up around the 4k assumined you had it fairly well cammed. I am running an 1147c, Hope I can get somewhere close to your time... eventually

Hey mate, its got an rb25det pump on the front of it, which in all honesty only ended up on there because my old turbo pump was unusable. As for oil system mods, the inlet and outlet of the oil pump are radiused and I believe the pump relief spring is also shimmed.
I use a rice racing water injection kit.. In combination with E85... However I'm sure with pump 98 and the water alone with more time on the dyno I could net similar power figures. The water injection is pre turbo and operated solely by boost pressure and activated via a solenoid by a hobbs pressure switch. What I should say is spark plugs generally look brand new during inspections

dont know if this means anything here, with my high comp bottom end I achieved 10.155@134mph Tuned by alan rajab on sunoco max nos

Chinese manifold, Garrett TO4E66, turbosmart 48mm gate
Rajab plenum xf tb, 1147 cam, Rochester 72lb injectors single 044 bosch pump
Microtech LT8, ice 7amp ignition kit
powerglide with TCE converter, garrett intercooler
twin headgasket with decompression plate, stock oil, water pump

I ended up upgrading to a huge fuel setup, 6boost manifold, nitrous kit, also had a jpc gt42 to go on it and E85 Tune on 24psi to play a bit before big turbo goes on then got a defect and decided to get rid of the whole car and mods, kept fuel setup and glide for something else

Far out this is an old one! Mark Blaikie of Adelaide went 9.70 at heathcote with a stock n/a bottom end with an RB25 head and a gt3582

Could a stock n/a motor handle 300rwkw safely?

Haha the age old question.. could perhaps be rewritten to be "could a stock n/a bottom end hold 400kw safely"

Highest I've seen is 460rwkw n/a stock bottom with a 26 head. Was a video of it floating around on facebook of it not long ago. With the advancements in tuning and e85 its pretty clear that high comp is better than low comp too

What about a completely stock high comp/na motor, complete long motor with boltons?
Surely head gasket/head lifting is the biggest concern?

I'm keen to find out. I have a stocker N/A bottom end + turbo setup running e85 at the moment. 208kw at the wheels on 10psi.
Trying to find a stock N/A head, get a cam and some springs in it, a nice gasket and ARP head studs and wind the boost up.
Any thoughts on a safe RPM limit ?
