Fitted plenum. Bit of a mission. Needs a good clean still. And the 35/40 bolted up next to it.. Might be abit laggy with it vs std plenum but not really much difference. tidies everything up abit.

Got the 35/40 just sitting on the manifold. Gotta make up dump and all that yet.. Going to get the ext gate pipe chopped back abit just to make things easier.. Thinking i might grab a beanie for turbo aswell to save any heat issues. anyway.

Thanks mate. Ah i have to do the dump pipe. Put the new injectors in. Mod the cooler pipe to the turbo (prob just silicon bend). And work out a intake for it. Plumb up all the oil and water lines. Hopefully get it tuned next week some time.

Bit of a side update.. Picked up 2 calais front seats. (blue) so need to go seat covers i spose.. High rise center console lid. Rear seat which i dont really need.. Calair rear. (tail lights- center garnish- strip along boot and to bits at end of lights. And a genuine calais front with motor and linkages. So that will be going on aswell. Once i get it painted.

Car now running. Alot of stuffing around making everything fit nice and making dump pipe etc. Just got it on around on 9-10psi (wastegate pressure). got no leaks. Feels like it goes harder than it did on 14-15 with the old turbo but its a different sought of power and doesnt nose over at 4.5k ish like it use to.. It pulls right through now.. Dont want to flog it too much though.. Still gotta finish a few things off like intake, Fit bigger injectors and a catch can and it will go in for a tune hopefully next week.

Alrighty.. So got a tune today. It made 322rwhp on around 17psi. But it drops right off after about 4800.. So the tuner seems to think it will be the cat and maybe the muffler also as it just doesnt seem to be getting the gasses out. So will get rid of the cat and put a straight through muffler on if it isnt already.. and try again otherwise it will need a cam..

New motor is all but ready to go in.. Just a basic setup. A8 bottom end. king mains and bigends. std rods. hypertechs pistons 20thou over. wade 818b. Arp head studs. full head reco. Cleaned up and polished the ports a little. Also got a heavy duty button clutch but looking to go auto in the not too distant future.

And just to see what it will look like sat the front on car. Still needs to be painted.

Well finally made some progress on the car. Got rid of the JD Custom and ebay manifold in favour of a CPC street version and 6BOOST manifold. Nearly ready to go..

if ur gonna have calais bits go the whole lot, will look alot nicer. front with calais grill, lower door moulds and calais side skirts, rear lights, garnish, and calais surrounds.

nothing i hate more than a sl/berlina rear and calais front. killer set up be a shame to not finish it off with a nice finished shell.

Bit of an update..
After having it on the road for a couple months. Got pulled over on way home from work told to 'pop the bonnet' and was sent straight to d.o.t for inspection. Where I was defected for not having mod plates for anything.. Fair enough.
Got all the mods plated and the defect cleared a month or so later..
Also put on my Vt brakes and put some 'Low' springs in the front to replace the super lows.

Have now also fitted a crank trigger setup, And finally gone to an auto. A full manual JD transmisions built 500rwhp RE4R01A with quicksilver shifter mounted under the factory console.
It has made the car so much nicer to cruise around and should run a half decent time when I eventually get a tune and get it down to the strip..

Havent really dont much with the car. Took it to the drags untuned with some 235 et streets. Ran a 13.265 @106mph. Broke the diff centre on the last run. ( Turns out it was a 25spline diff).
Chucked in my spare 28spline diff. Booked the car in for a tune. As it run the 13 it had 290hp @16psi. We ended up with 388hp on 19-20psi.
Went back to the drags yesterday and ran a best mph of 117, and best time of
12.001 @ 114mph
1.796 60ft
That was the last run before they shut the staging lanes..
Soo close to an 11! So looks like im going to have to head back down and give it another crack lol. ( the strip shuts in a month). This was full street trim apart from the 235 et streets. Also got myself a daily, BF mk2 xr6t.
