The seat movement issue is a more of 'how the person inspecting your car' feels judgment - the catch can, just take it out and plumb the 2 breathers into each other and then leading to the inlet manifold - Done - easy

Goodluck man, I know your pain all too well

yeah it sucks but ive kinda been expecting it cos its the first time ive been pulled over since its been turbo so well over a year not that i drive like an idiot but ya kinda expect it driving a vl so think ive been pretty lucky.
the cop was a good bloke about it wasnt rude or anything.

-i have a bit of rust on one of my mufflers will i need to replace it?
-what about my odometer does it need to work?
-with the catchcan i wanna plumb the line in anyway cos im sick of the smelly fumes so would it be fine in the intake pipe?

i ordered my new struts and stuff for the front end today.
and ill go to u pull it tomorrow probably to get a steering wheel and bits and pieces. just need some wheels to cruise around on for a while.
its gonna look ****house on stockies

Unlucky....

Only fix the real obvious stuff for now because its likely you'll be going twice. They will pick on the smallest things to get your there again, like soft bushes

The seat should pass, mine is dodgy as all get out and they didn't say anything.

Odometer doesn't need to work

Leave the muffler until you get pegged for it

Catch will be fine plumbed to the intake but take it out completely for regency

Odometer only needs to work if your car was built after July 1988. Weird, I know. But that's according to ther VicRoads.........oh, SA I see. Sorry.

cheers todd but im thinking of just leaving a standard one on for a while im not sure but ill keep it in mind.

there isnt alot i can think of that they can get me for ive been pretty picky over the years with small things. but im sure they will find something.

i might just get the odometer done anyway as ive been meaning to do it for ages.

what have people done to neaten up the CAI mod hole.(where the old airbox went)

well everything is fixed i took it to lonsdale today for inspection and they have stuffed up the paperwork for my engine swap and brake upgrade so they couldn't do the inspection so i have sorted the paper work and its getting resent but while making that phone call i was told it cost another $214 on top of the defect inspection to get the motor and brakes checked over. ****ing getting real sick of this crap.

well it passed inspection today and also had the inspection for the motor and brakes + turbo conversion so all is legit now. feels so good to drive it again plus it handles heaps better with the new suspension and steering rack and pump.

things to come are: new exhaust manifold (already have thanks to TURBDWAGZ)
- lsd centre (already have just needs to be put in)
- new tailgate
- fix left hand side skirt
- retint windows

that all for short term.

well i finally found a mint tailgate completely rust free that has been painted and fitted and also have a 28 spline lsd in the wagon now it goes alot better now i can get traction.
ive also fitted an aftermarket ebay exhaust manifold mainly for looks i didnt really expect much improvement power wise but it sounds better on boost i reckon.

any way ill get pics up asap.
