Yeah although the graph starts at 100 kpa, so it rises 150 kpa on boost, there fore just over 21psi. Im not 100% sure how its worked out, I have a 20 psi actuator on it with the standard half a hole preload, so its not to far above 20 psi at the moment

Fair enough... it wouldnt be running 100kpa off boost. Are you almost set for the circuit challenge against the monaro?

Just got home from Clader park track day, sh1t day, was raining on and off most of the day, and most people will know calder is one hell of a slippery track when its a little damp, (some would say slippery when its fully preped and dry). Had to have a heap of photos taken in the morning and missed the dry run, came out in the afternoon and was off to a slow and steady start, trying to get used to the new brakes and suspension. Passed a couple of cars like they were standing still and got into it from there on. The track was terrible to say the least, top of 4th gear and the semi slick tyres were still spinning at full throttle, made for a fairly easy front straight, still managed to get a glimpse of the speedo, well over 200kph. Came down the front straight after about 8 laps, everything was going well, water temp was up a little higher than I would have liked, slipped into 5th, got back on the throttle, nothing there, Accelerator cable had come un clipped at the pedal, stupid thing. As the rain was comming in again I decieded not to push my luck too far after wednesday night snapping a castor rod, and put it back on the trailer. Although it was slippery and couldnt get full throttle down the main straight, and most of the rear still managed a 1min 10second lap, which was my previous best in alot better conditions.
Good thing was it came home un broken, and the brakes are nothing short of amazing, the booster and master package from race brakes is worth its weight in gold for pedal feel, I could actually feel my arse sliding forwards in the seat under brakes.
Ill try to get some pics up, and keep updating the thread on times, Sandown next month, hope I can have a better run there and break the Sandown curse I have.

Sounds like the new set up is great - equalling your best time in the dry, in the wet!
Cant wait to see the pictures from street commodores!

I think you need some sort of 'good luck' figure draped around your rear vision mirror for sandown... you need some black magic or something to break the curse.

Well done!

Yeah no sh1t, some one must have a voodoo doll of my car that only works at Sandown, the car has heaps left in it still, I didnt even get enough time to get used to the brakes, I really just cant explain how much better they are, by far the best mod so far.

Yeah hopefully there are some good pics of it, weather was failry ordanary, but Jon said it was looking really really good through the camera. Guess we will have to wait and see though.

Thanks, yeah some old dude was telling me about his n/a in his 240Z, asked how much boost it was running I said 25psi, he nearly dropped over then, he said whats it making around 250rwkw's? I said yeah more like 380rwkw, I swear his heart skipped ten beats. It was just so hard to get the power down today though, Calder is so slippery.

Dont use second hand suspension parts kids! Only use the good stuff, dont be an idiot like me. This is the result of a dodgy castor rod breaking under heavy breaking, this happened the Wednesday night before my photo shoot for street commodores, lucky my mate had quit his job on the Monday and had some spare time to fix it;

Fast enough that the new brakes were better than the new castor rods.

Big change of plans have come about, I will be selling the car in the next few months minus engine suspension and brake setups, I have bought a new engine and have all the standard suspension and brakes to go back into this car, the rest of it, interior stereo and the rest is going to stay. I have decided to build a dedicated track car, 2 seats and a cage, I couldnt bring myself to do it to this car so I bought a calais shell for the project.

If anyone is interested in buying this car contact me via pm, car will be featured in street commodores in a few months also.

Car isnt getting sold now, project car has been de listed, and the cage and so on will be fitted to the BT1. Due to a spark plug failure and the small damage to the block a new engine is being built, with a twin cam head. Im really after some low down pull, and not alot more top end, maybe 450rwkw, less is probably plenty though.

So far I have got the bottom end sorted, just waiting for the head to come. I have organised a 6 boost manifold and a 50mm wastegate to go with the new TO4Z turbo. Im still chasing an RB26 inlet manifold, either standard or aftermarket, prefere aftermarket, so if you have anything yell out. Trying to sort some cams out aswell, so again if you have anything let me know.

Once the engine is done the interior is getting pulled out and sold, and the cage will be fitted, along with custom dash and only 2 race seats up front, main aim for the car now is to have it running by early next year, compete in a full season of the club races, with maybe one leg of the Duttons rally. Try to make it reliable as possibly for a VLT, then the following year try to make our way down to Tassie for the Targa. Thats a big ask, but hopefully we can get there by that stage.
