Advice needed on 1986 VL LE Calais

Hi guys, I'm new to this site and am after some advice on selling a VL. We have a gold/bronze 1986 VL LE Calais with just under 200,000 kms that we want to get rid of. We are not sure what price we should be asking for it particularly since being told recently that it might be of some interest to collectors given it is a genuine HDT with the Energy Polarizer still intact. I have no idea whether this is the case and would appreciate any feedback. The body is straight but needs a bit of work as several panels are damaged (scratched) and whilst the interior is in very good condition (no tears, holes or stains), the power windows are touch and go as are the fuel gauge and air conditioning.

Thanks,
Rae

It depends on the condition of the body and exactly _how_ bad it is. You probably won't be able to get absolute collectors prices if it's a bit shabby.

But having things like the polarizer still in tact is very good, they tend to sell for $500-$1000 by themselves on places like ebay.

Anyway - don't take this as a "set price" it's just my opinion, but by the sounds of it you'd be looking at ~ 8 grand, but would have to see some pics or something to judge it totally.

As stated its hard to tell without actually seeing photos regarding panel damage etc...

I Also would like to say that when your all sorted and get photos and all the documentation - post it up on http://www.brockcommodores.com/vbulletin/index.php web site aswell as they are all brock enthusiast and may get a buyer their aswell,

All the best with it,

Daz

Yeah, seen this around Queanbeyan, a little shabby but still a beautiful car.
Would you swap for a manual VL Wagon with mods?

The car is a N/A Calais LE with HDT build plate and papers, energy polariser and 208,000 kms

Rae is a very nice lady to deal with

No pic hunters thanks only genuine people only who are serious and have the $ to purchase

She's open to offers but not stupid ones

I'll be watching this thread and making sure it doesn't get out of hand

Thread may be moved to the For Sale section when Rae wants it to

Russell
