i have a 86 berlina but i still ahve that button so there is no need to get angry.. i just have it under the sterring wheel (but it dont work coz i dont hhave electric windows)

Whoa thats definitely not factory. Theres only 1 way to find out and thats trace the wires back from the switch.

Or look in the engine bay/under the dash for any relays that have been put it that shouldnt be there.

Yeah, I'd say it's a kill switch. The only other thing it might be is a child safety lock on the left instead of on the right, but did Berlinas have those?

Child safety lock is under the steering wheel not on the right.
