Was that private patch or a business selling on ebay? They make vl's look fat "in my own opinion".I was going too go ame's or just throw the set of fr 17's off my other car on my vl but dam for that price i think i might start hunting for set.Love the guages too they set it off. i want too throw some on the bonnet but i dont want too get any of the wrong attention on the street . You go a very clean vl there man.

hey man was off a private seller. yeh im a fan of holden or hsv wheels on vl's not really a big fan of the chromes apart from maybe ame modelarts or fr's

ive had the gauges on the bonnet for a while now and havent been pulled over for them, they just get weird looks thats about it

Patches, need some pics of the interior that don't just show off your 28 gauges.

Is it the 87 or the 88 calais interior?

few easy ways to tell the differance,

1. Air vents are colour coded on the dash, not black likemost VL's
2. rear headrest pins are colour coded also, and the pins are closer together than the 86/87 series ones.
3. back of the front seats is stretchy and not solid.

Only find that in some late 87 and all 88 model calais' from memory... check it out!

It's back

now running perfectly

-starts first turn now
-chrome handles are on and look good
-battery in the boot

also made 174.5rwkw on 10psi.... so we worked out why it didnt make much power on 14psi....

also turns out my engine is a turbo engine not an n/a one too

it goes hard now... later on may wind it up a little bit more... but waiting on the 900 from the government then it'll have a full 3inch exhaust system on it
