they are hot!

however i doubt they will fit your dash. there is very little room tou mount anything much taller than the standard speakers as the vent sits right on top of the speakers. go down to strathy or autobarn and find the flattest 4"s you can. a set of splits won't fit aim for co-ax.

yeah be carefull as they bottom out if the magnets are too big, i fitting some rockford 2 way 4 in speakers under there and they were awsome, take out the stock speakers and see how much room is around them and see if they will let you slot one in to see if they fit

I was looking into this aswell - from the research I did the alpine 4" seem to be the most preferred. Has anyone here experimented much with running 4" in dash, 2 6" in parcel shelf straight from head unit VS ditto with an amp? I've been told you can push the speakers much harder with an amp however is just so much stuffing around and extra money as opposed to running the 4 speakers straight from the headunit

amp is always going to be better, but these days the head units go pretty good, i would put the rca leads in and the wire that tells you amp to switch on and leave them under the dash were its easy to get too then run them off the head unit, later if you decide to put an amp in you dont have to puul the head unit out again

ive got sound stream 4" in my dash, just fitted with a bit of force, SST4.0's tarantula series ones, external crossovers wont affect you.

*without the covers of course(speaker covers not the dash covers)

I'm using kicker 4" splits in the front. Had to shave the underneath of the speaker cover for them to fit. Pretty easy with a grinding disc on dremel.

Did you end up buying them?
Did they fit?
Did you have to change anything?

They make them. Don't know if they would fit or not. You might need to do some major modification(grinding) to the underside of the speaker cover.

I just went from clarion 2 ways to pioneer 100 watt 2 ways, they fit nicely without modification or grinding half your dash away and sound quite good off the head unit..
