its a poor discription because irradic spark can come from anything leads, cas, dizzy, button, timing, heat, ecu, interference, wiring list is endless auto1 broadmeadows mate home of the vl turbo, i also got one from niddrie auto 1 ANDDDDDDD make sure its for an RB30 the rb series look similar but they aren't any other queries? |

I just rebuilt mine. I used a fuel miser CAS, changed the plug and contacts. Really when doing this you need to cahnge the oil seal that sits under the bearing, the bearing itself and install a rubber O ring between the distribuitor housing and cap so you dont have the wet dizzy problem again. Ill do this for $200 exchange, PM if intrested.

I would strongly recommend to replace the bearing as well its a little more labour but for a $5 part it could save your new CAS failing, when the bearing gets rusty the fine dust can **** the sensor

I was having rough idle issues with mine.
Pulled CAS apart (using this guide) Used contact cleaner on everything, pry'd the little cas/sensor piece out a little sprayed the $%^& out of it, Sprayed all over the little disk, put it all back together lightly sanded/cleaned the contact points on the rotor button re-installed runs like a dream. Checked ECU diags. and no codes for this are appearing, and was able to get the tune (red/green lights - flashing in sync) by following the other guide on tuning (AFM anti-clockwise screw to richen it up) I was willing to replace the cas, but thought it would be worth a shot at cleaning it first |
